Gently Paging BlingQueen...O/T

@BlingQueen022

Hi, Bling!  I sure hope the holiday season is going well.  I write to wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas and delightful, healthy New Year, dear lady!!

As planned, I retired from my life-long career yesterday and we're heading off to the airport shortly for a lengthy visit with family.  I think it will take some time to adjust to the lack of pressure, deadlines, etc....but I'm very excited about doing so.  Look forward to checking back into the forums upon my return in mid-January!

Best wishes to all of the members of this sub-forum for a wonderful celebration of the holidays!!

@Dallas-Dame  Hi DallasDame!!  Big congratulations on your retirement.  The time really went fast.  Just think no more working overtime and no more waking up at the crack of dawn!  You sure earned it.  Wishing you the best in your retirement for many happy, healthy years of nothing but just fun easy days.  Hope your visit with your family is a great one and please wish your wonderful mom a very happy healthy Christmas and a Happy New Year from me.  Enjoy the holidays and have a safe trip.  Hope you decked yourself out with some of Michael's fabulous creations.  Please don't stop posting on the boards.  You're one of my favoriates on here.  Again, congratulations!  What a nice feeling that must be.  This is my last winter of working hopefully, if things go as I planned.  When you get back would love to hear how your visit went and how you mom is doing.  Enjoy your trip.

@Dallas-Dame

I recognize that you were not talking to me, lol.

That said, congratulations on your retirement :-)

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

I know you weren't addressing me, DD, but I'm wishing you a great holiday and a happy retirement.  What a great time of year to start!  In 3 more years, I'm retiring, too.  Told DH that I'm done--he can keep working if he wants to (he does), but I want to retire.  Enjoy this new phase of your life!

I realize you weren't addressing me either but congratulations.   I retired at a very young age in 1998, and highly recommend it.

@BlingQueen022@Bird mama@sunshine 919@VegasBusinessWoman@Kachina624  Sincere thanks to each of you for your kind wishes on my retirement.  We returned home last night from 3+ weeks with family and I'm trying to catch-up today with mail, email, grocery shopping, etc.  Although a bit surreal, I think retirement will suit me just fine.

Look forward to reading through new threads this week and to visiting the forum a bit more often given my new "schedule".

Happy, healthy 2016!

@Dallas-Dame Welcome Back DallasD!!!  So glad you have a great visit with family and that you're back safe and sound.  You were missed and you probably saved money from not seeing what Michael had to offer, lol   I have to say you got back just in time because tonight at 10pm he's showing his huge oval new Hessinite TTV ring which is item 151-110 I believe.  Not sure if I'll get or not because I already have a hessinite ring from him, but will see the presentation.  I got a great deal on a london blue tennis bracelet I ordered from Chuck that was an OTO.  The stones on that one is big.  Haven't received it yet though.  Then there's Michael again that had an OTO while you were gone of a pink topaz ring that sold out quickly.  At this rate I won't be able to retire until another year.  I'll probably retire when Michael retires.

Anyway, glad you're back and will be among us again on the jewelry board.  Hope your mother had a nice Christmas and New Year and that she's doing well.  Enjoy that retirement of yours.  Lucky you, you get to sleep in now.  These days of waking up before the cows get up is killin me.

@BlingQueen022 Hi, Bling!  Our visit with family was wonderful and hope your holidays were lovely.  Thanks so much for your warm "welcome back"!  I watched a bit of Gem week with my mom and she sends kind regards to you!

I was reading through Esmeralda's thread last night and saw the photos of some of your new beauties.  That pink topaz ring and LBT bracelet are gorgeous...wear them in the best of health!  Still trying to catch-up after being away for quite a stretch but was able to purchase Michael's SBT and blue zircon bracelet to complete my small SBT collection late yesterday afternoon.  Must sit on my hands for the rest of the shows!

I'm sure your decision regarding retirement will be the best one for you.  I'm already enjoying not having to awake to an early alarm each morning and look forward to settling into a new routine without deadlines and long commutes.

Will be checking-in for your reviews and hope you have a wonderful, safe weekend, dear lady!!
