Hey Sharke!  I was just looking at Evine.  Lots of pretty new things.  Have you ever bought anything from them?  (old shopnbc)

Isn't there a gold *event* this month that we usually get into trouble with?

You can see the January 14th Program Guide for the schedule of what's listed.

It seems "Gold Jewelry Sale" is the replacement of California Gold Rush, which was held on January 24th from 1988 to 2014. Last year it was held on January 23rd. Recently QVC has only held 24-hour jewelry events on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (except Super Bowl Sunday and Father's Day), so I understand the date change but dropping the California Gold Rush name after 28 years?

It appears the TSV is a 14K gold diamond cut rope chain in several different lengths.

This coming Thurs I believe I saw a preview. I don't need anything doubt if I'll buy anything. That one yr. was my banner yr. when I bought 2 gold bracelets.   No, haven't bought anything from them I seem to remember 'shop at home' from yrs. ago when I bought a 1.5ct Block D tanzinite ring in gold. Oval shape. Not that light blue stuff, but, the deep blue with a hint of purple. Pretty ring. That goes back to when Tanzinite (however, you spell it) first came onto the scene.

I'm excited for the gold show. I'm really hoping that it's a lot of real gold and not just gold over sterling, bronze and gold over silicone. It used to be that the Gold Rush shows were great! I still have several pieces from beck in those days. You could buy a beautiful heavy 14kt bracelet or necklace for under $200. Now, for that kind of money you get a piece of dental floss.

Let's hope this is a really good show. QVC sells so much jewelry that I think they can afford to lower the prices and that way we'll buy more.

QVC, we're getting tired of just silver and costume jewelry. Please bring back real gold at affordable prices

If the pieces they are promoting are any indication of prices then I won't even watch the shows or be inclined to purchase.  I bought Eterna Gold and Imperial Gold years ago and that will suffice.  That was when gold prices were realistic.
