I’d much rather her have some pieces now. I can’t see her wearing them and enjoying them after I’m “gone”.
Umm That's exactly what I said above. By the way GD five years old.
@Sweet_Serenity. My granddaughters are 9 and 6...neither one responsible with the jewelry they’ve received as gifts. Your 5 yr. old must be quite special indeed.

@Shanus, you are so correct (on everything in this thread, lol).
@SahmIam. Wow, thanks for the compliment. Silver has copper in it (oxidizes and reacts w/ some people...certain areas & not others). Have you tried fine silver .999 instead of .925?
@Shanus I will have to look closely at the few silver hoops I have and see what the marking says. It's odd; as long as it doesn't touch my neck, I'm fine. If it does, I'll have streaks or a shadow from the residue. Studs and huggies don't do it.

@SahmIam. May seem like an odd question, but is it possible the hoop is not polished well? The stud or huggie sits close enough on ear to get constantly “cleaned” by skin contact whereas the hoop portion gets exposed to the air....Use a treated cloth (Sunshine Cloths found at jewelers or wholesale jewelry catalogues are the best) and see if after a thorough cleaning the hoop still leaves a mark on your neck.

@Shanus Not sure but I'll try a cleaning cloth before putting them on. I keep them in a box that is anti-tarnish for jewelry but who knows. Thanks for the tip!

Lost in translation! Never said GD has heirloom items. What i said kept safe for her. Why on earth you came to the conclusion? No clue.

I have all the gold that I want. Stopped buying gold quite a few years ago. I do buy sterling silver and I like it. A silver day would be nice for Valentine’s Day.

Yes I have to agree, prices are way high for what Q says they can do.. I don't know why I keep expecting more.
I'm more into smaller less is more pieces, and have always liked smaller jewelry except for some rings,..I'm still holding onto jewelry to sell...hopefully it will spike again someday. I was ready to sale it when it reached 18...few yrs ago. They said wait its going up to low 20's first of that following yr. Well that never happened.
Keeping fingers crossed now..

I see some nice pieces but have to wonder if anything is from California! The TSV is Italian and Adi Paz has been featured and is from Israel. Maybe California no longer makes gold jewelry? Price of gold is creeping up...more than a $26 increase today. Maybe buy now? I kind of hoped there would be a one hour show on clearance pieces to clear some of the old inventory but QVC seems content on hanging on to old stock. It is nice to see casual jewelry that can be worn every day.

Most of QVC's jewelry 'events' in recent memory have been... Come to think of it, QVC, overall, in recent memory has been disappointing...

Well, there are certainly a number of pieces that are out of my reach, but I'm kinda interested in the gold and gemstone bracelet J350555. I've been on the lookout for a peridot bracelet, and I like the looks of that one.
The "designer" pieces are, of course, overpriced and so not interesting to me, but I saw a couple of things that caught my attention. I'm going to go over the pieces again and pick out something lovely. Wish they'd shown these pieces in October or November. I'd have hit up DH for something from "Santa."
