What is everyones favorite laundry soap?  I like doing laundry but lately having a hard time with what laundry soap to use.  The Tide I was using I have not been able to find for about a year.  I am 64 and live by myself so the clothes are not that dirty.  Someone recommended Ajax laundry soap and the price and result is great but seems a little harsh.  I am now using original Gain and I like the smell but I am not sure.  Does anyone have a recommendation?

I used to buy Tide all the time when we were a family of four. Now it is just me and I buy All Free and Clear and it works very nicely for me and costs a lot less than Tide.

I guess I am goofy, too, because I enjoy it!  I never minded laundry.  In fact, it's the only household chore that I don't mind!  For some reason, I find it soothing.  At times, I will start a load and I will play on the computer or do other things and when I go to retrieve a load from the dryer and start folding and putting things away, it makes me feel like I've accomplished something.  It's one thing that has an easy fix.  When it's done, it's done!!!

I absolutely detest doing laundry! Now it is even worse because with the new washers the water level is so low that it takes twice as many loads. I don't understand how doing twice as many loads saves any water at all. Just a waste of detergent.

I use Tide free & clear pods.

When we owned a house with a yard I loved hanging all my laundry outside.  Even when it was cold and snow on the ground, I would hang the sheets and towels especially which would come in stiff as a board but still smelled clean.  Now I live in an apartment everything goes into the dryer.  Anything having to do with clothing I don't mind.  Other household chores, forget it.

I have been doing laundry since I was fairly young, I never kept my room clean, and I admit I was guilty of trying something on, thinking it did not look right, and throwing it in a pile just to discard it later in the laundry, my Mom threatened me that if this did not STOP I would be doing my own laundry from then on, and guess what, I have been doing laundry ever since.

I actually enjoy laundry, and now that they have the Pods I find it  so much easier, in fact overall I enjoy cleaning ( I do not have much of a life).  FYI, I only use Tide, they always have coupons in the Sunday paper, most of the time Tide is on Cartwheel, and then I use my Red Card, I love myself a bargain!

And I love to organize, I have actually gone over to friends houses and spent the day organizing for them, it gives me a feeling of satisfaction to know that I can go to my closets or cupboards and find anything at any given moment according to the category and or designer.

I told you I don't have much of a life, LOL!
