Well I guess I'll make a few of you cringe, but I love doing laundry.

I love washing it. Made sure I bought a washer that still fills completely. I love to open the lid and see the clothes swishing in the water!

I love drying and folding it. I'm particular about how things are folded and I love a laundry basket full of clothing folded and organized just so.

I love hanging wash outside in the warm weather. My five lines look like something  out of yesteryear, with everything organized by type. All jeans together, sheets by sets, each person's underwear grouped together, socks by pairs according to person, towels by sets!

I especially love putting away clean laundry. It is the time I use to keep the closet and drawers organized. Things in the closet hung by type and colorized, drawers tidied up each time they are filled.

I learned as a young girl who was expected to assist with(then take over many)  the household chores, that I could grumble about it and develop a dislike for it, or I could find satisfaction and joy in the doing. I realized that some things are just going to have to be done regularly for the rest of my life, and I had a choice to make it agonizing, or to find the joy.

For most of the repetitive household and yard work I have chosen to enjoy it, and find satisfaction in it done well.

I miss suds now that laundry  soap is phosphate free. My first machine was a wringer.

In 1973.

I use Kirkland pods now.

I love hanging sheets out in the summer, but otherwise it's just another chore.

I like washing and ironing.  I don't like the folding and putting away part.

@Pooky1

You are not alone as I add a load of towels! I wish we still had our clothesline...oh the good old days - when my boys were young I loved to hang their clothes but of course, the fresh smell of sheets hung on the line!

I use ALL free & clean as over the years I've developed allergies to scents (and Tide is the worse with those added fabric scents).

I fold but I LOVE to iron! Oh dear, guess I'm really bad...ironing with my Rowenta gives my clothes a beautiful fresh scent since it steams so well.

My houseguests always comment how fresh the sheets are...hmm I iron the top sheet & pillowcases🙄😉

Guess I grew up in a era where household chores were the norm and a clean home was priority!

I don't mind doing the laundry.  I do a load or two every day so it doesn't pile up.  My mom had a "laundry day" and would dread it.  It's just easier for me to do a load or two every day.

Luckily, our closets are big enough to hold all the clothes.  The only things that get put in drawers are underwear and socks, pajamas, and a few other things.  Everything else gets hung.

I use Tide pods.  They smell good and do a good job.

I don't hate doing laundry but I also find it so mindless. Only do it twice a month since I'm the only one here. About every three months or so, I strip my bed down to bare mattress and wash everything. Housekeeping in general I find more mindless as the years go by. It simply has to be done.

I also use Nellie's -- no fillers and so concentrated you only use one teaspoon per load (it's also good for HE washers).  I don't like added fragrances to my laundry products.  Used to use All Free & Clear.  Don't like dryer sheets also.

I love it also, esp. If I find little things of the grands in the wash.

I don't know that I "enjoy" doing laundry but I don't mind it either. I started doing my own laundry at about 14 years old and to this day I don't want anyone else doing my laundry. Kinda bugs my hubby but I remind him that he doesn't have to lift a finger to have clean clothes!

I use ECOS liquid for cold wash and Wisk for hot. Sometimes I add OxyClean or 20 Mule Team powder to hot washes. Next time I'm out of soap I'm going to check out the Nellie's.

My philosophy is "Laundry never sleeps" as stuff is always going to pile up for washing. In fact, the weather is dreadful today and I'm about to start the 3rd and final load.
