No, I never loved doing laundry.  I didn't hate it but I didn't look foward to it either.  Laundry was just one of those things I had to do.  What is there to enjoy?  However, now that it's just the two of us, we use a laundry service.  They pick it up and bring it back a day or two later all clean and fresh and beautifully folded.  All I have to do is put it away.

I enjoyed your comments, Carebears, and would welcome your talents in the organizing area.  I can't make a decision.

I have been a loyal Tide user for many years but am frustrated by the fact that they DON't   have coupons in paper for Tide products .  They want me to go online and get them with their shortened expiration dates and have to print them out.  I like using liquids to "hit" spot areas so I have not gone to pods.  I do send my daughter to college with pods.  I get confused at the large box store with two whole aisles of various Tide products, some that I choose to use just displayed on the top shelf.  They make it very confusing to consumers who are not used (or can't) read the small identifying labels.  What are they thinking?  My mother likes All Free products and I have been purchasing for her.

I also enjoy doing laundry but I don't feel the newer washers are as good as the ones that had the  gentle agitator in the middle.  That frustrates me.

Three loads a week so it's not a big deal.  I hate to iron which was one thing I wasn't taught to do when I was young.

I use "all temperature" Cheer (with color guard) because it's kind to colors.  My personal good clothing gets Woolite dark wash.  I like that neither has an overpowering scent.

I can keep clothing colors true a long time.

Thanks everyone for the soap recomendations!  I have made a list of your suggestions and will start trying them out till I come up with a favorite!  Much better than trusting the internet's top ten. Woman Happy

@Pooky1   I don't know that I would use the word enjoy, but I certainly don't mind it at all. On my kitchen wall are some antique washboards which serve as a reminder how lucky we are in this day and age. Currently I am using liquid Arm and Hammer (he) and lavender scented purex crystals. Love lavender. It's just dh and I now and since we have a front loader that adjusts the water level to how much I put in the machine, I can do any size load.

I kinda like doing laundry and I am kinda a geek about laundry appliances.  Currently  I have two washers, both top load, agitator, full control over water level.  One is a Whirlpool and one is a Speed Queen.  I use the speed queen most but altenate with the Whirlpool periodically and depending on what I am washing (Whirlpool is slightly larger and handles larger items like mattress pads better.)  But I love both of my relatively new machines.  I also have a new Whirlpool dryer, with a few bells and whistles, a drum light I can turn on while the machine is running (geeky me) and great temperature options that actually work the way they should....extra low is really extra low.... medium is really medium etc.....so I do like doing laundry.  I even fixed my two washers so I could watch them in action with the lid up including spins.

I love all things laundry.

The problem is that my husband and son love it even more than I do.

I have to schedule time to do my fussy laundry (which I keep separate), because our machines are going all hours of the day and night.

It's really kind of crazy.

Funny thing, though... no one fights me for the iron.

I get that all to myself. 😐
