We have several GE appliances, I’m happy with all of them. The one I really like is the GE dishwasher. Love it. Stainless steel inside and so easy to use. Also so quite. In fact so quite I have to put a not on it to let everyone know it’s running.

My first GE dishwasher was extremely loud.  This second one that I've had for 10+ years is very quiet.

My next refrigerator needs to be quiet.  The GE one I have now is about 10 years old I think, could be 15, I need to look.

Since I work from home now and sit 5 feet from it, I notice how noisy it is.  It was always a bit noisy (I went for cost and the fasting thing I could get delivered over Thanksgiving weekend) but it seems a little noisier these days.

While the GE washer we bought is top load, has an agitator and lets me pick the water level, I still have to "lie" to it because it's still really not enough water to cover the load.

It also goes out of balance A LOT.

I'm really not crazy about it

I recently had my first GE washer delivered about a month ago. I almost got a Whirlpool, but saw @Pooky1's older posts about the GE washer with the option to choose the water level. I missed that feature since buying my previous washer, a Maytag.

I chose the level for my first load, but I've used the Precise Fill for the rest so far. I was able to open the lid to see how the loads were doing letting the washer choose, I couldn't before, and it's working out well. My laundry even looks cleaner. But I know there will be times that I will want to make the choice.

caffeina. im glad to here myinput helped you out. my mil is 77 and she got this washer to replace an 15 year old whirlpool washer. her words were this ge washer is quieter and washes better than the old washer. i love listening to it when it goes into the final high speed spin and you here the spin getting faster to the super fast speed. wish you luck with it.
