I was always a fan of Whirlpool appliances, but i inherited a Hotpoint washer from my Mom who passed away in 2013, and I love it, made by GE.

In our past 2 homes all we had were GE appliances and never in 15+ years did we have trouble with any of them.

When I bought this place I replaced everything except the range.

No gas out here and I had brain freeze about electric using the generator or just plain propane like the generator.

Now years later it is still going strong.  No idea how old it is.  GE lasts!

I'm also a fan of GE appliances. My GE smooth top stove is 14 years old and still going strong. My old Sears washer and dryer "died" a couple of years ago, so I bought new GE to replace the old. Love them and never have a problem with them.

My mom has always favored them. While I've not had them I've not been a fan, preferring Whirlpool and other brands; but the truth is, these days, I think it's the luck of the draw.

My house was new construction and came with new GE basic appliances in the kitchen.

I replaced the dishwasher and the refrigerator with GE because there was a store here who sold only GE and could deliver same day.

I've been happy with all of them.

I finally replaced my stove after 27 years because I wanted a glass top and convection and went with Maytag since the hardware store that sold GE got out of the appliance business.  And now the Maytag store is gone, the couple who owned it for 40 years have decided to retire and their kids have no interest.

We have several GE appliances, I’m happy with all of them. The one I really like is the GE dishwasher. Love it. Stainless steel inside and so easy to use. Also so quite. In fact so quite I have to put a not on it to let everyone know it’s running.

@Pooky1   My GE double ovens, range and vented hood are all were all new when we built our house in 1972. They are still working fine. I'm on my second GE refrigerator though! I hope your new washer is as good!
