Mine is a comforter. One third is dark expresso brown, one third is beige and the last third is turquoise. It also has pintucking from the middle to the bottom about 1" apart. I looked extensively everywhere for just the right cover for the bed and then found this one as I walked through Walmart of all places.
The guest room has a quilted and embroidered spread - beige with shades of blue and green small flowers in the corners. Very subtle and neutral.

Like Susan Graver's new fleece taupe large check top on the home page today.

Love this. Looks like a hotel room. Some comfort sets make the bedroom look like a motel room.....too much matchy, matchy.

I love bright colors and just got this one in July:
It's reversible and has a Hawaiian print on the other side. It's a light summer quilt because I live in a place where that works 8-9 months out of the year. I have a navy blue comforter I use in the winter.
Before I bought this one in July, I just used a cotton blanket. It's still in the 80s or 90s here when I go to bed, so I probably won't switch to the comforter until mid-late November.

Right now, I have a Fieldcrest comforter set I bought from Target about 10 years ago. It's background is a subtle pink, with white and dark yellow flowers and lots of greenery, sort of a yearning to live in the tropics! I bought two of the same because it was on deep clearance. Remember those days of Target clearing out lots at 75% to 90% off to get rid of things in timely manner?
Soon, I will be changing to this one again for fall and winter. I bought in 2013.
It is very fluffy and good for winter. I use a cream skirt and red or green blanket on the foot. I don't like all the pillows at once, so I use one of this set and one to coordinate the color of the blanket. DH likes this one better, even forgiving of the print. I think this one will look better, since he just finished replacing the floors with wood instead of all carpet everywhere.
I have a difficult time with decor and what looks nice. I wish I had lots of extra money and could start from scratch. And another problem with bedding, is that we have a queenbed. Most queen sizes are short on the width of the comforter, especially if it is F/Q. I have bought King, but then it's way too wide and looks bad.

Got mine (on sale!) from Soft Surroundings a couple of years ago. Soft green, embroidered all over with dark green thread in a Jacobean floral, the back is darker green that also is the narrow border for the front.---that's what the description called it, anyway. It is the softest fabric I have ever felt, 100% cotton I think. It's king-size, but so soft that I can wash it in my front loader. Washes & dries beautifully. It's very lightweight but plenty warm enough even for most winter nights in SC. If it's really cold, or there's a power outage, I have a couple of Berkshire fluffy throws to put over it.

White. All white. A queen size quilt-stitched coverlet, scalloped edges, with Battenberg lace and crochet accents. Mutiple pillows, all with white pillowcases (some trimmed in Battenberg, others with interesting white-on-white trim detail). Antique brass bed. My throw pillows have colors and patterns but everything else is white. I alternate between white and colored sheets, and have throw blankets folded at the foot of the bed.

Me, too. I used to love my white bed covering in the middle of my peach walled bedroom, but then dogs came to live with me and life, and bed coverings, changed.
I started with blue and white toile, and now have moved on to blue and white check sheets with this patterned duvet and shams (without the comforter as it's too warm still) I just got on sale from Pottery Barn (PB's photo below). Since my actual bed is covered with books and other stuff, no personal photos will be forthcoming!
