@CelticCrafter , wow that would be a hard decision but, if I made the decision not to finish it, I would have to to get rid of it.  I would feel bad to see it not finished.  There aren't many hand quilters around anymore to give it to are there?

I have 20 squares done now out of 40 so half done, not including the borders.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

@CelticCrafter , what was your favorite one to quilt?  I think mine would be The Wedding Rings.  LM

@Lilysmom - both quilts are gorgeous. You'll be glad after the quilt is finished that you hung in and go it done. It's beautiful.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Lilysmom - I was just thinking about you and how your quilt was coming. It is beautiful, however, sometimes we do get one that we just aren't "in love with" and this one is very pastel compared to your others.

I just finished a quilt top for my granddaughter's birthday. So it will be off to the "spa" for quilting next week, lol.

The one I'm working on now is nothing to beat the band about - simply 2 1/2'' scraps sewn together. Good way to use up "stash". I have 4 more blocks (12.5'') to get done then add the sashing and borders.

I also have 2 1/2'' x 8'' strips to start for a scrappy rail fence. That's a whenever I get to it, lol.

While working on the 2 1/2'' squares I learned something about myself. I can't just randomly pick up pieces and sew them together. They have to have some kind of order to them. I guess that's good to know for any future projects!

@riley1 , yes it needs to make sense doesn't it.  Even if it is only to me, there must be a certain order to things.  I was struggling to find an effective way to do the flowers and,now that I have, I am better with the quilting.  Crazy huh?  LM

Re: This winter’s quilt

[ Edited ]

@Lilysmom these are my 3 favorites, the pinwheel is a crib sized I made for a grand nephew, it was the first time I ever did pinwheels without sashing in between so was pretty pleased with myself that all the intersections were spot on.
The blue and white Irish Chain is a twin size that I made for my daughter.
The Trip Around the World was for a grand niece, carriage size.
ETA - they are all cut by me, machine pieced and then hand quilted.

Is this a stamped fabric that you hand stitched? I am not a fan of butterflies and the colors are very pale. The good news is that it kept you busy and all crafts are great for that. Thanks for sharing and encouraging others.

This winter's quilt has 40 squares.  Until a few days ago, I only had 6 done.  I don't really like this one.  I don't find it interesting to quilt.

The stormy weather hit here in Nova Scotia so I put a bit of a drive on and I now have 15 squares done, so more than 1/3 of the way home.

I am not one to leave projects unfinished so I will drive through this one and choose my next one more carefully!

The finished squares start in the center and work out to the edges.  If you pinch out on a device, the finished ones are more noticeable.  LM

@kjayr , the colours in real life are not pale.  This one is not pieced.  I have 25 of the 40 squares done now so I am making progress. LM
