Thanks for confirming the cream hue. I put both color styles on my wishlist to try to compare & the new one appeared more of a butter cream, but you can't always rely on that either. The new cream wouldn't have worked with my walls. I'm now even that much more happy with my french grey. Kachina, how's your turquoise heater? I really wanted that color!

Your welcome! I tend to prefer cooler versions of colors, but this is the exception for me. I would have loved the turquoise I am sure. Come on Kachina, tell is what you think. Nice if you could post a pic of it too!??

I received the cream as well. It's a French vanilla cream. I have 2 models purchased from Lowe's. The cream one puts out more heat. I wanted it for my family room as isn't so obvious as the black ones with my painted woodwork.

Re: The New Duraflame TSV Is Beautiful!

Okay, I just got the turquoise unboxed. All the parts are there. The turquoise is sort of a sea foam shade, not my favorite and definitely not Sleeping Beauty blue. If I were doing the selecting, I would have chosen a deeper shade with more blue in it, especially since it will primarily used in winter when deeper colors reign. It's pretty though and will go nicely with the colors in my room. It's chilly here tonight and will feel good in the morning. The remote works with my old heater which is a Duraflame but was not bought at QVC.

Re: The New Duraflame TSV Is Beautiful!

Ladies, please report back on energy use. I bought one several years ago and my electricity bill soared over $80 for just 2-3 hrs of use a day. I only use mine for an accent piece with the flames and I am wondering if they have made them more energy efficient in the last few years. Enjoy yours and thanks.

Re: The New Duraflame TSV Is Beautiful!

I have not received mine yet. Maybe today. I'm getting excited. I gave the one I had to my daughter last year because she moved to an apartment in an older home and it was drafty. She was supposed to just borrow it but you know how that goes.

I got the grey and I can't wait. I was wishing I had it last night ... it was chilly in the house but didn't want to turn on the heat yet. I just covered up with a blanket but the warmth of that heater would have been nice.

Re: The New Duraflame TSV Is Beautiful!

Did anyone have trouble getting the legs on? The directions say, "snap into place". Never got anything to "snap" but did get the screw in three legs. The last one, which is always the case, simply won't align with the hole so I guess I'll drill another one. I don't know why they can't machine these things correctly. It would also be terribly generous of them to include an extra screw.

A friend put mine together. She also had trouble getting the legs snapped in. She finally did and managed to get the screws in too although she told me to be very careful if moving it with the legs being rather flimsy. I agree that they should be machined better. I was spoiled because my late hubby did all of the ""extras"" to make things fit.

You will LOVE the French Grey. I used to have the cream from last year, but "donated" it to justify this new Duraflame. I got a kick out of your story regarding your donation to your daughter! I love the open view via the side view, the elevated height, but most importantly that gorgeous new French Grey color. It truly "classes" up my womancave!
