I was looking at the steam mop for ceramic and wood floors. I would like to know if anyone has one and do you like it. Are they lightweight and easy to push?

Yes, I have one of the older ones and I love it for tile.

I would not use it on my wood floor.

I think you would like one.

I have a Shark Pocket Mop steamer and I love it. It's easy to fill and use and the cord is long enough that I don't have to keep moving the plug. The mop heads are attached with velcro tabs and getting them off can be a little gross, but once they're off, they get tossed in the wash and come out ready to be used again. It gets easier to push the wetter the mop head gets, so I check it as it heats up and don't attempt the whole floor until it's easy to push.

Lightweight and easy to push are relative terms, though. I carry purses I see some women review as "too heavy" and I've never noticed that. What I consider easy to push or use my arthritic mother would not. I'd say check the weight of any mop you plan to purchase and see how that stacks up against your current mop or vacuum cleaner. The Dyson I bought was advertised as being light, but I find it heavy. Not as heavy as my other vacuum cleaner, but not something I would want to lug up stairs if I had a two-story home.

I have a Hann and love it. I have a variety of floor surfaces from ceramic to hardwood to laminate. It works great and leaves no water behind--dries in under a minute. It's fairly light weight and very easy to use.(list pushing a duster around on the floors) The Hann is the only floor steamer that was recommended for my laminate floors. I purchased mine on QVC years ago but I've seen them elsewhere.

I bought a Bissell steam mop ($90 range from their website) and it's as light as a feather, however, I'm not really a fan of steamers but better than a mop/pail. Then I saw the Hoover floor cleaner (not steam) on the Q for $140 range that releases water with cleaning solution and then has a 'take up dirty water' tank......works just like my Hoover carpet cleaner. LOVE IT!

With steam cleaners - if you release too much water/steam you'll need a paper towel to soak it up. Had a Haun - didn't like that and will not recommend any steamer. Check out the Hoover! (don't have any wood flooring so can't address that)

I have the shark steam mop and used it for years. It did glide easily on tile but it barely would budge on my wood floors. I had to push it both forward and backwards with some muscle in it. My mother just got brand new wood floors. The installer told her not to use a steam mop on the wood. She told me this so I stopped using it. I too got that Hoover vac that picks up all the water and also has a drying setting. It's not as fast as the steam mop because you then have to dry it but it takes a lot less labor on my part to clean the floors. It's easy to push back and forth. My floors have never been so clean. I do recommend using half the amount of cleaner they say to use or you will get streaks.

I have a Dirt Devil and use it on all my ceramic; love it. I do not use the steamer on my laminate flooring, as it is not recommended. I damp mop my laminate with vinegar and water.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before purchasing a Bissell from Amazon. It wasn't very expensive and had a lot of positive reviews. I'm happy with it.
