Any my bird obsession continues...

This Spring I've been decorating with birds and bird related items (nests, eggs, etc). Yesterday I ordered the set of 4 Song Birds on Pedestals from PC (same place we ordered the black and white bunnies). They arrived today (less than 24 hours after placing the order) and I love them. They are painted nicely with great detail, they are weighty (resin) and a nice height--4-6 inches tall. And they were on sale.

Would you like a pic?

Yes! Of course! By the way, Nana, I went back to Big Lots and bought the other ceramic bird (looking down) yesterday. Just had to have a companion for the first one!

Here is the pic. I think you can find the new birds among all the other "bird" stuff. Note the many Q items in this vignette. The hyacinths under the glass bell jar, VPH bevelled mirror, VPH eggs on the right side and a snippet of a VPH swag with the bird nest and eggs. I've been finding that her swags are much more versatile if I cut them into smaller lengths to use with my decor instead of leaving them the longer length.

I'm happy your bird has a friend. I couldn't find the looking-down bird at my Big Lots so my bird is lonely. Well, not really. There are many other birds in the display just not his mate.

I love birds! I have to force myself not to buy bird themed things. Michael's always has cute stuff on major sale.

I'm so hoping my bird obsession is not a one-season thing because I bought so many bird items that I should be using them for years to come!

It looks great, Nana. I like the look of adding height (built-on pedestals in this case) to certain things instead of everything being the same height. Thanks for the pic.

FYI- I was just over on the PC website, and noticed that their search feature is limited.

For example, search "bird" and you will get certain bird related items, but search "birds" and you will get other items. Same goes for "rabbit" vs. "rabbits" or "bunny" vs. "bunnies".

Interesting. I'll remember this info.

Wait until your friends and relatives catch onto your new obsession. You'll be getting birds as gifts on every occasion.

For some reason, songbird-themed items really appeal to me. I never decorated with geese, ducks or roosters, but I haven't been able to resist some of the items featuring sweet wrens, cardinals and chickadees.
