I like the ceiling.  That's about all.  Everything looks like a mish-mash of stuff.

I love it.....they've incorporated a lodge look with a modern edge.

So, I guess my question is this...

Does everybody now prefer simpler (more stark) interiors that require less upkeep?

@LTT1 ...That is my ideal design concept for a room but, unfortunately, IRL I have a little more accessories, etc. than what I'd prefer to have.  I keep taking things to Goodwill but additional items keep appearing.  I have a little OCD in me so when things get cluttered, it eats at me until I can clear things out.  I have a very good friend at work that I'm guessing is a hoarder.  I've never been to his home (actually, I believe it is an apartment) but his office makes me extremely anxious.

@faeriemoon

It is the location of the house, River Ranch.

@LTT1   For me it's just a look.  It really has nothing to do with maintenance.  I like the look, but I also like other styles as well, many of which have lots of decorative accessories.  Although I love many of these minimalist rooms we post about here, my house is anything but minimalist.

@lolakimono glad to hear some good news, maintaining is ok, slight improvement better.  Certainly better than going downhill.

My guy upchucked last night all over my favorite rug.  I was stunned and thought it was all blood because of the red..then I realized he threw because he had been nipping at my cherry tomato plant and I"m pretty sure it gave him an acidic tummy...Guess I didn't get his dinner to him quickly enough and he needed some appetizers!  Typical man...

Safe trip home! .

Room is very nice & serene.  Need color - maybe the sofa & chairs or an accent wall.

Would like to see if there's a river view.

The only thing I like about the room is the antler chandelier!  Rest is way too contemporary for my taste.....
