It is clever, but not my thing.

It is different, unique, I like it and would place it in a family room or den.

For me, personally, I would just always look at it as a piano that could be played.

It may depend on our backgrounds.

 Spending a lot of years in orchestras, bands, musicals, I just couldn't do that to a piano or any musical instrument.

So that is just how I look at it for me.

Though other than that, it is interesting and creative and would be more so for me if it wasn't taken from a real piano to begin with. I can't help feeling this way. Its instinctual.

I guess it's a cute idea, but I just couldn't do that to a beautiful piano.

Have you tried to sell a piano in the last 10-15 years? NO ONE will buy them! They are give-aways IF able to find someone to take them, especially a baby grand. Today's homeowner doesn't want to devote the space to a large piano. Everything is now an electronic keyboard, which breaks my heart. Mine finally was donated to a private dance company owned by a friends' daughter. 

And forget about an organ with full keyboards and a full pedalboard! We couldn't find a Church interested in a perfectly good, walnut organ which I'd played for decades in our home. It was donated to a retirement home when my Lupus became impossible to play any longer. 

I love this idea of a bookcase from a beloved baby grand piano. Doesn't anyone remember the days when the insides were removed for a  . . . bar? That was tacky IMHO.

This is useful, clever and for all ages in the family.

@lolakimono.  Very clever recycling idea and done to perfection.  Its so nice, I'm going to rip up my grand piano and copy the idea.

It costs less than what a new piano which is not as well made would cost.  No musician would do that without first trying to refurbish and replace the keys and bring it back to its original beauty.  This is a shame that someone did this to a grand or baby grand piano.  Sorry to disagree with you but musicians don't find beauty in destruction.

This is a great idea!  I really like the way it looks .Books and music.....can it get any better than that?!!  It really stands out but in a "coordinated" way, if you know what I mean.
