Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

I love, love, love my Polar Fleece sheets!  They are now on my bed all year round.  I used to sleep hot (even in the winter), so I was late to the party in trying these.  However, that description of them being knit instead of woven made me try them; have not slept hot since.

I cheated on them with the Berkshire Velvet sheets.  Big mistake.  While the velvet sheets are indeed luxuriously soft, there's a slickness to them.  The top sheet and comforter travel all over the bed and ultimately onto the floor every night!  In addition, they did not make the fitted sheet deep enough for today's thicker mattresses and pillow tops.  Every morning I'd wake to the fitted sheet popped off.  Got rid of them, but kept the top sheet or my dog who loves to roll around on it!

Finally tried them. Indeed, they are very, very soft  and the cardinal trim was lovely, but I felt like I was sleeping on a towel!

Returning!

Agree!!  I hate them too, and I don't like flannel either.  Like sleeping on velcro.

I love the polar fleece sheets.   It's like being cuddled in a cotton ball.   I sleep on them in the summer with the AC.   The top sheet makes a good summer blanket.

I agree! I love the polar fleece sheets.

I love these sheets. I am naturally a cold person. I sleep with fleece pjs and these polar sheets with a comforter.

I've never seen any towels that are like the polar fleece sheets. I love these sheets! They're fantastic.

I think it might depend on the fleece. All of the Malden Mills Polar Fleece sheets I have are fantastic and not at all like a towel. I got some microfleece sheets from HSN last winter thinking they would be similar, but they were much different. They were more plush, thicker, and not as good as the Malden Mills sheets. I'll only buy Malden Mills fleece sheets now.

Last year I even bought a twin set to send home to my parents' house to put on the bed in the room I'd be staying in over Christmas. I'm looking forward to seeing them again next week - my parents AND the sheets. Smiley Wink

Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

Big Sister, I looked and I don't have the packaging but the tag on the sheet is "Life Comfort", they're 100% polyester. I had also bought the blankets from Costco made by "Charisma" that we're practically a match color wise to the sheets.  The match was so close I was surprised they weren't the same brand. The blanket is very comfortable also, I'm in heaven when I go to bed 😴💤 hope you're able to find them.

Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

@Caaareful Shopper - I'm finding the same thing with the Velvet Soft sheets and I recently left a review to that effect (not yet posted).  They said in the description that the Velvet sheets were 18" deep and would stretch to 21".  Well, no they aren't and don't.  Our mattress is 16" deep and it's a fight to get the fitted sheet on.  Even then, only one ends truly tucks under the mattress.  The sides of the sheet don't even cover the mattress.  So someone somewhere dropped the ball on these.

I ordered three sets and thought they'd be great because of the sizing, but they are not.  QVC needs to sort out what's wrong with the fitting on these.  Telling the customer they're 18" up to 21", when they're nowhere near that, is just plain wrong.

And the static from these sheets is unbelievable especially as you can't use any kind of fabric softener or they'll pill. Woman Sad

Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

I've had polar fleece sheets on our bed for a full month now, and we love them.

We had a very nice set of flannel sheets on our bed in the 80's; my husband hated the bottom sheet and the pillow cases, so we only used the flat sheet.   I was prepared for that to happen again this time.

However, my husband has not said one negative thing about the sheets, and they are helping keep him toasty and warm all night.   I love the comfort and overall softness they add to the bed, and can see these sheets staying on our bed until they wear out!

The sheets make my bed warmer, and with my husband beside me, that creates a heat factor for me.   However, I sleep in long sleeved pajamas or gowns year round, because I like my body warmth to come from what I'm wearing, not a pile of covers on top of me.   When I sleep,  I only have cover on me from my knees to my feet.   Between my pajamas and the polar fleece sheets, I am warm all night long, while my husband stays covered to his ears with the sheet, cotton blanket and cotton quilt.

Both daughters asked for, and are getting polar fleece sheets for Christmas.

Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

If they feel anything like flannel then I know I wouldn't like them.  I tried flannel once and felt like I was sleeping on top of a fuzzy animal.  Too warm for me.   I have an electric heated mattress pad which gives me the kind of warmth I like on the mattress plus it has adjustable settings.  I do love my northern nights cotton sheets though which I have on the bed year round....here's a tip.....get the 700 TC with wrinkle defense for best results and softest feel.

Re: Polar fleece sheets are not for me

We're using flannel this season.  The thing I didn't care for with polar fleece is that I found bits of the fleece in my hair and on my hairbrush.
