Would you buy a 13.00 table runner that you can only spot clean?

                                                        Thank you !

Yes.  If people were not eating at the table it would be fine for a long time.  If I used it for a special occasion, I'd use it and if it got stained throw it away.

It's less than flowers or what you'd spend on a big candle that you'd burn.  So buy, use and toss if needed.

If I wasn't going to put food on it and I really liked it, I would buy it.

Yes, and I have.  It needed spot cleaning and I have done that with no problem.  Also, I have washed it on a gentle cycle and ironed it with no problem.

I would, if I really liked it.

In my experience, runners are more decorative than used. So to have it used for mostly decoration purposes and not have it in a place food would get on it, I wouldn't care about cleaning it.

Even if it was in a place that it would stand a chance of getting some food spilled, I'd take my chances and hand wash it.

So many things are much more washable than the tags say they are.

And for that price, if I got a couple of seasons out of it (or if it is for year round, if I got a year or two before it got shabby looking) I'd consider it a pretty good investment.

Don't know if anyone else thinks like this, but I've started looking at  some nice and 'good' things of mine, and realizing that if I use them and they get worn out, I will most likely be ready for something new and fresh after a few years anyway. It has helped me to stop saving everything for 'good' and getting little to no use out of it.

Yes.  I'd use it for decorative purposes.

I would buy it and keep it out for decor mostly.

I have a few different table runners and switch them out to match the season.  (Christmas, Harvest Season, Patriotic-themed holidays, and Easter)
