With a few unexpected touches, like the ceiling.

May be an image of furniture and bedroom

Does the nightstand work here, or does it feel like the design intruder?

It looks like a restful room. And YES that black piece of furniture is definitely an unwanted intruder. I suppose the designer wanted to add a bit of contrast, or even surprise, but to my eyes it doesn't work.

I don't care for pastels.  I think the nightstand works, but I don't really like the piece itself.  Not loving this room, although I might love it in shades of neutrals.

Love the color of the room and the overhead light fixture.  Don't like the tufted headboard and is that wallpaper???   I'd get rid of the nightstand.

Wow not a fan of the room. Too stuffy. I agree with others here that lacquered dresser got to go. I do love the light fixture.

It works for me because it gives the room focus. The sweet colors are grounded and enhanced by the solidness of the piece. I like the contrast.

Keep the black, get rid of the rest.  Maybe keep the rug.

The room is no-nonsense feminine without being "girly".  I don't mind it but find it too bland.  I think the chest/nightstand is an intruder as it's too dark and shiny.  A lighter wood would be more pleasing and get rid of the lacquer finish.

I don't like this room, am not a pastel lover! I also don't care for the furniture, especially the nightstand. It's not horrible, just not my taste or style.
