Re: ONE CONSOLE TABLE, DECORATED FOUR WAYS

@Judaline  Hi!! Blue is my favorite color in clothing, home decor, etc.  The last car we bought I got to pick the color - I chose blue!!

@Oznell - I have been looking for a new blue vase to put on a table that has a white lamp on it, so these will be perfect.  I'll look them up on Amazon. Thanks!

Re: ONE CONSOLE TABLE, DECORATED FOUR WAYS

@Oznell - TY for posting this. I just got home, and I am enjoying winding down with your thread!

I like the coastal, which doesn't surprise me!

I would change the lamps and choose ones that had an open base, like a weave, or had a lighter material. I would prefer the lamps had a "lighter" feel.

When we added our sunroom DH and I disagreed on the decor. He wanted southwestern and I wanted coastal. So we combined the two, and it works!

I'm also not really a blue person, maybe because I grew up with it! I love turquoise, and that's coastal enough for me.

I'm not a fan of modern. And the only two things I like in the glam/traditional are the chair (love it!) and the brass tray.

IMO the "eclectic" is anything but. It looks like pure modern to me.  Smiley Happy

Great, @twinsister .

Wow, @GingerHead ,  those birds you painted are fab!  Love the way they tumble and scatter, in the most graceful way over wall and ceiling.  You gave them real dimension too-- I hope your back was all right after all that intricate painting.

@beach-mom ,  you are so lucky to have a sunroom, and I bet the combo style does work beautifully.  Love turguoise-- and it does make me think of water, tides, and sunny skies....

I absolutely love the credenza...and I vote for the Midcentury look--minus the art on the wall. Don't know what I'd use instead, but something else for sure!

Re: ONE CONSOLE TABLE, DECORATED FOUR WAYS

I dislike the things just being lined up across the top of the conssole. Doesn't show any creativity, and the chaos on the wall is too much competition for the eyes. A real designer's eye is needed. I would toss the things on the wall and move them somewhere else; use a unusual mirror and a couple of smaller pieces of artwork.

@twinsister ,  there are several versions of that splatter vase, but Amazon has a pair ( love that there are two in the set, of different sizes) .  If you search "Teresa's Collections Navy and White Porcelain" there, they show up.  I have them and attest that they are fun and versatile.

Here's an online picture showing the small one too.  The bigger one is about 10 inches, and the smaller one is about 6 1/2 inches.   I display them many ways-- together, separately, mixed with a solid navy gourd vase, or mixed in with my small milk glass collection,  (which they look surprisingly good with) etc. etc.

@wagirl ,  way to go with your "back of the sofa" sofa table!  I love that look, would have one myself if the room was wide enough to have one behind the couch.  I think I had figured out that you like midcentury too.

@Iwantcoffee ,  I like the way you would edit the Midcentury one, a "cleaner" look but still punchy.

@GingerHead ,  those are great ideas, thanks so much for illustrating them with images.  LOVE those rustic vases, which would look stunning in that look;  ditto the pale books which make me think of sand and surf, perfect!

@Oznell

I love that splatter vase. It would work in my DH's bathroom with the blue pearl granite and blue slate floor tiles and white appliances, silver-framed mirrors and large silver-framed bird art.
