I joined a decorating FB group where some posters offer their crafts which are amazing. Since I joined during the holidays, my Santa was just delivered! This crafter makes the faces with clay and I was so happy she made him amid her bunnies and chicks!

I collect Santa's and the face is a deal breaker for me on this one.

We all have our likes and dislikes. You do have an interesting, although somewhat scary, Santa.

@ECBG    Beautiful hand crafting.  I don't see him as scary, but rather as unique.  The face reminds me of how an apple head doll looks.

@ECBG For 20+ years I have attended a  'peddler' art/craft show (juried).  I purchased a 3 ft. santa probaby 19 years ago.  I loved that santa....similar to yours...mine has a few more things attached to the arm but same idea.  Over the years his beard has started to fall apart and the things attached are also deteroiating.....I paid a boat load for him so every year I try to refresh what I can but one of these days when I pull him out of storage I am afraid his beard will be all but gone.  Enjoy!

Maybe he doesn't photograph well?

Perhaps another angle.
