Our sleep number is 15 years old and wouldn't consider anything else!

Ours is a Beautyrest. You probably need to go out and test some because if I were to do it again, I'd probably select a little softer mattress.

I think that a "please" and/or "thank-you" would have worked better to get you at least one reply after 72 views.

I don't actually decide to base a reply on that, but I do think that you gave to give something to get something. The OP didn't give us anything to go on - traditional spring, air, or foam desired? Firm, soft, what? Price range?

Personally, I find mattress a hard thing to recommend anyway, but if the only clue given is "mattress," that gives me nothing to work with, so I have no recommendation to make.

After returning like 5 mattresses, I have to say SEARS! We now have a beautyrest (simmons) that is amazing....they have like 10 different comfort levels of the beautyrest line to choose from and you can return if you don't like. I LOVE my mattress, its perfection, not soft, not hard, and a pillowtop. Had for 6 months and no indentations or anything....like we had with out Serta that was returned. Its a firm level but is very soft so it has the firmer coils that last forever!

That is such a personal thing, that recommendations will only be even more confusing.

My advice would be choose a store/brand that has a very liberal return/exchange policy. This is one item that you aren't going to know whether or not you like until you have used it for several weeks. Different companies offer extended return/exchange times. Do your homework and find out before you buy.
