@spot555  I just looked up Lennox Tan and like it very much.  It reminds me of the Benjamin Moore Manhattan Tan that I have on my walls.  I painted a long time ago, and they don't have that color anymore.  I love my wall color but hate my burgundy accent wall.  I would love to repaint the whole house.  I don't think I'll find anything that I like better than the color it is now but think it might be silly to use something so similar in color.  I will have to use a warm color, though, unless I paint the ceiling, too.  I don't remember the name of the ceiling paint, but it's not white.  It's a very warm off white, but wouldn't look good with a real light color on the walls.  I've been debating what color to paint for a while.

I just had a new toilet put in my hall bathroom.  Apparently when it was painted the painter didn't remove the toilet and completely paint behind it, and there is a spot where there is no paint on the wall.  The plumber said there was a little bit of wallpaper still there from before it was painted (years ago) that he removed for me, so there is a white spot.  

I do still have the paint can, but it's so old that it's probably not any good anymore.  I'm sure they don't make that color anymore, so I may be forced to paint now.  How long can you still use paint that's stored in a paint can?  This can is probably ten years old.

Ya, your paint is a gonner. I looked up your color first, & it showed me another color instead (Manchester, I think?) 

 I clicked on a site called "Kylie M. Interiors". There she shows what she believes are....

Just an observation . . . how do you all remember the exact name of your paint color?  Unless you picked it out yesterday, how can you remember this?  I have no idea of my paint brand OR paint color.

I write the info on index cards, & file them. Otherwise, I'd never remember!

@Peaches McPhee  The woman who sold me the house had a card for every room, stairwell, foyer, hall, etc that was painted; each card had the name of the paint, the manufacturer, the code/item number of the paint and a sample of the paint shade. THAT'S how I found out there were so many colors used. If you walked through my house, except for the master and hall bath, you wouldn't know; the shade change is that subtle. Why did she do that? She was an artist and found that as the light hit the rooms, they changed color so she wanted shades that would flow and accent the high ceilings, the trim, the flooring, etc. She did a beautiful job it if, I have to say. : )

I don't know how I remembered the name of mine, but I've just always known it.  I do keep the paint chips that I get from the paint store though and file them.

@Peaches McPhee.  I amost always buy Benjamin Moore. A few times I got Sherwin Williams. I have a harder time remembering the colors.

I enjoyed reading all the posts..we have decided to go with the same color walls..leaving our bedroom a peaceful sage color..I also do not care for any shade of gray & have no black in our home..we have found a color we like Kilim Beige, a Sherwin Williams color..

we have some wallpaper to remove & hope to be ready to start after the holidays. Now, just on to getting a couple of estimates..will not miss the mauve 😊
