I hope you were able to get it out of there. I can totally relate. My cleaning lady used to sometimes have plans after cleaning so she would go into my husband's bathroom (good thing she didn't have access to mine!) and would clean up and put her make up on, etc. Well, then she would put on a ton and a half of THE most wretched 'perfume'.
I had to ask her to please wait for the perfume until she left the house. Fortunately, she didn't kill my bird, but my asthma was set on fire for a while after that. Fortunately, it dissipated eventually but that was some nasty and strong stuff!
I liked the idea of the charcoal, but it would probably take a LOT of it and you'd need to keep changing it out every day or two. It works better than baking soda.
