Re: Flameless Candles And Sand

@NickNack,  personally, I love that book about glass on the top!  The colors don't have to exactly "match" with your other decor, but the colors in that book do look very compatible with the other elements.  Love!

To me, since the hurricane is so tall, I wonder about putting the books under the bowl to balance things out a bit. I'd also put the candle and bowl closer together so it looks more like a grouping. As far as what to put in with the candle, I like natural elements. Some options could be: popcorn kernels, beans, split peas (they lighten over time), brown rice, or shelled nuts (hazlenuts, almonds...).

Thank you @Oznell .  I was pleased when I put that book on top.  I think it makes a big difference.  I like the hurricane without the stones, too.  I do think I'll like it with the leaves and pebbles from Amazon in the fall.

@ThinkingOutLoud   Here it is with the bowl on top of the books.  Maybe it does look better with no books at all.  I'm not used to seeing such a bare coffee table though.  What do you think?

@NickNack I like it a lot! Any way you decorate it will look nice, it is a very nice piece, but my preference is with the stones and the books! I think it gives ait a nice dimension, without overdoing it! You could change out the stones for holidays,etc.....I bet the gold leaves would look beautiful for Fall, or even some small pumpkins! Such a nice versatile piece. Have Fun!

That doesn't look quite right but thanks for obliging me.

Re: Flameless Candles And Sand

One more picture.  Does anyone like it with the books separate like this?  I did take the stones out of the hurricane, but I will put the leaves and gems from Amazon in it in the fall.

I do appreciate the feedback.  You all have some good ideas.

I think that's a strong look too, @NickNack , and it has the advantage of being an odd number (3),  so is pleasing to the eye.  I like that your pieces are a good size, not too small.  They each have impact, but don't risk looking like "too much".

You've got some great options.  I just finished fooling around with my coffee table-- love changing it up, and keeps me from being bored!

Re: Flameless Candles And Sand

Thank you very much for your feedback @Oznell .  I've been looking at the coffee table in this arrangement all afternoon.  I think I really like it this way.

Once again, so many of you here have helped me with my decorating.

I had a thought. I wonder about putting some ivy in the wood bowl. It would add a layer, give some height, etc.
