Don't Throw Away Those Dough Bowls

I was thinking about giving away my large dough bowl until I saw this.....something for almost every decor style. Mine is more rustic looking but I realize  one can bring it up to a more modern, eclectic, whatever look ....with a little imagination.

I actually prefer the more rustic look, the more the better, even in slick, sophisticated settings.  They are an interesting counterpoint to the contemporary.

@CherryHugs it's a bowl for making dough.  In older times people would put the flour in one side of the bowl and the liquid and/or eggs in the other side.  They would then pull the flour into the liquid mixing it until it got to the right consistency rather than measuring the flour.  Even recently I've seen biscuits made that way i a Youtube tutorial.  Probably not as messy as my method.  I can make good biscuits, but oh the mess.

My dough bowl is not as large as those posted but I do use mine through out the year.

We have one sitting on our entry piece in New Mexico. It has our sage bundles displayed in it.

Thank you.. I didn't know about "dough bowls" but now will look for them in antique and used goods stores.
