Displaying Plates in a Dining Room

Image may contain: table and indoor

Not in a curio, not with a plate rack.

What do you think of the look?

That's how I put some of my dishes.

Beautiful room and I love the plates.  The chandelier, not so much.

Re: Displaying Plates in a Dining Room

Years ago I might have done this... but now - no, I wouldn't. It's just more stuff to dust and clean and I'm beyond that. It's uninteresting to me that there are 4 rows of the same style plates. The little owl is the most interesting piece on the shelves! I suppose if a person has big family sit-down dinners, then it would be something they would enjoy. It's just not my lifestyle to have a lot of fancy dinnerware anymore.

It's not a look I would have, but I do like it in this room. Not understanding how the plates would stay in place. Are they just leaning against the wall?

It looks like the plates are on acrylic easels, those close to the back and those smaller ones in front.

I like the room too, and think the chairs are very interesting.
