I like color, but this is too much for me. It would be much better with a neutral wall color and rug. If I also remove the artwork and lamps and substitute other pieces I like more, it would be an ok room.

It's fun, although not my taste.   I'd have to subtract about 50% of the pattern, replacing with solids, and just have a few punchy prints.

 

It's very representative of a more English sensibility, with the strong egg yolk color walls, and riot of pattern, even on lampshades.  Sort of madcap and casually devil-may-care, in the English tradition.

It made me want to close mine.

 

I've been seeing so much of this red/blue/yellow decor on real estate sites lately.

 

I wonder why.

 

This looks more rust than red, but it's still... startling.
