Wow,Mid Century Modern to the Max

[ Edited ]

Mid Century Modern home in Sarasota FL

This way over priced but very very Mid Century Modern home went on sale in my hometown last Friday. Over 188K Zillow views due to a national twitter tweet that talked about it Friday. I had no idea about the house.

SO fun to look at. $899K  but only 1 bath, no attic, no pool and laundry in the kitchen. If you get a chance to look at the Google street view, youll see how radical the renovation is just on the outside

The link above is the Zillow listing with 35 pictures.

If you dont feel comfortable clicking on the link, you can look up the address yourself. 3201 Peachtree St. Sarasota,FL.

if you google it you may even run accoss the April 2021 (last year) in Sarasota Magazine about the house; who built it, who bought it and shows slighty earlier pictures than current with some of the renovations with slightly different coloring.

I was so into looking, i probably studied the photos for two hours Sunday. Enjoy.

Wow, is right, @LizzieInSRQ ,  you found a wild Midcentury time capsule,  captured down to the last atmospheric detail!   Starting with that zingy orange door.  Very fun to look at, and am looking forward to going over it more thoroughly....

Lucky you, Sarasota is such a vibrant area.

Wow, the house is so fascinating to look at! Love the decorating but I don't think I could live in a round house. Another bathroom would be essential too.

I agree! If you saw this neighborhood, you'd laugh hysterically at the price too. It also needs a kidney shaped pool and fabulous deck.

The owner is a Realtor who collected mid century furniture. An electrical engineer bult it himself in 1972 way past mid century.

Who ever did the tile work in the bathroom did an exquisite.  job...on rounded walls...how?

The creepy dolls in the rooms yikes.

There are too many dislikes and very few likes for me including the location. Just my taste and opinion.

i love everything about that home except for three things.....the price, it only has one bathroom, and i am not crazy about the washer and dryer being in the kitchen. otherwise, gorgeous!

My family has vacationed in Sarasota through the years many many times, so I know exactly the area that this house is in. I also looked at the article from Sarasota magazine which was interesting. The house only has two windows in one bedroom, and one window in the second bedroom, and that's all, no more windows. The owner put in the door with windows because there weren't anymore.

She also seems to think financing may be difficult since it is a "vintage" house, and that Cash may be required. That would be a lot of cash to invest in that house.

Also none of the furniture goes with the house, unless the buyer wants to buy some of it. It's hard to imagine what other furniture would look good other than the furniture that is there. It is definitely one of a kind.
