Friend mentioned she's converting her den into a 'friends room.' New term for me. How would you decorate a friends room? No right or wrong answers.

My favorite is the 1st picture.  The 2nd and 3rd pictures have in my opinion too many throws and pillows - looks a little to crowded.

Answer... I wouldn't (decorate a 'friend's room')... Sorry, I don't have the space to spare... I do like rooms 1, 4 and 6 best among those pictured, just in case I'm the friend for whom the room is being decorated...

What does a friends room mean?  More seating?  I think a den already is for friends.  I like pictures 1 and 5 the best.

I will be your friend's friend!!!  I love all these examples ~ especially #6........the shade of the couch and the tones of the pillows on it are soothing to me ~ the pops of fuchsia and violet are very rich in color Heart

I'd want it simple and uncluttered so #1 is my choice.

Number two is my favorite! You and your friend could do a DIY Trading Spaces  but without ignoring the requests and giving someone an aneurysm when they see it.

I like #6 best, a different color sofa and chair and those lamps have to go, but I wouldn't decorate for a friend.

I like it crisp and cozy, too. Pops of color. My friend is switching her den from home office to small greeting and seating room. She's newly retired. She makes up her own terms, which is why I like her so much - Smiley Happy.

I was wondering the same. Initially I thought it was a room where your friends sleep when wine night turns into, well, a lot of wine. What's that say about my friends?!

Assuming it's a casual sitting room to chat in, they are all lovely. But I like 1 & 4 the best.
