@CAMOGIRL - Welcome, I don't think I've seen you posting before. Thanks for joining in, I hope to hear more from you!

I set aside a pair of running pants to donate along with 2 cloth masks.
Tossed: 2 pair of ratty underwear, a bowl that I can't find the top to (how does this always happen?) 1 sock with a hole and 2 plastic 5 gallon buckets that were outside. One had been sitting outside for I swear, 2 years with scraps of wood in it that the boys were keeping to start fires in the fire pit. Hubby and I were picking up outside the other day after a storm and he said I could just toss it. I sure was glad to see that dumb thing go. I was really sick of looking at it.
Also went thru a drawer in my hutch that is a catch all and tossed some misc papers.

Hi all~been keeping up with everyone's doings~great progress, always inspiring to me.
Well, my sliders job got postponed to next Friday, due to storms and rain here. Though...ironically, it now looks like it's clearing up today, but whatever!
Haven't done any "gangbusters" decluttering this week (yet)...kinda haven't had the mojo for it I had previous weeks. That said...still puttered through some old photos yesterday, as well as some old artwork, art supplies...tossed a few things.
Man....I will say...only child...I AM the recipient of ALL mom's, grandmom's, great grandmom's etc photos. Awesome to look at and have. Although, some photos, yesterday, I thought...who ARE these people?? Even if mom were still here, she used to say the same...she didn't know either. lol. Still...held on to most of it. Thinking of sometime doing an Ancestry thing.
Of COURSE I 'plan" to do some "Mixbooks" digital albums, for me and to gift to a few cousins...started that last year....still pending. "Winter project" (of course I said that last year too, but was busy handling other things last year, after my mom's passing...so, maybe this year.)
Anyhoo...also have done some front closet rearranging to make more sense. Next is the mess of my utility closet...it's a hot mess. That will be a challenge because it's where my water heater is...no shelves and I keep extra cleaning products etc tucked in all corners there. Really needs one of those over the door shelf units. Bought one on HSN once, then returned, was bad...too bulky, heavy, didn't fit the door or closet when I closed the door. And right now have a hanging shoe holder there...so....the shoes will have to go somewhere....
So...always work to be done I guess. I do have another appt. with consignment late Sept....for more "fall" things...but it's winter I can't wait for, because I have some bulky clothing and boots to donate then.
All for now~Have a good day, all. ![]()

Update: Just did that "hot mess" closet...
Took shoes out of over the door shoe holder, moved to open spaces in hanging shoe holder in my bedroom closet (empty spaces from shoes I got rid of this summer), and under bed shoe storage had open spaces also. Then used over the door shoe holder to hold cleaning supplies, taken off the floor of this small utility/water heater closet.
Bonus~found the plastic drawer lining rolls (I know...old school stuff) I was thinking I'd thrown away the other day, when I wanted to line a newly cleaned out kitchen drawer with it. It was buried under stuff in the hot mess utility closet. I didn't THINK I would toss that stuff. Lol...it IS old school though...the tag on it...is from a store that closed about 18 years ago! But still....glad I found it...it's simple wedgewood blue with little white flowers. I have condo cabinets that are not finished nicely inside, so while drawer liners are not widely in fashion now...it will improve these drawers. (A kitchen redo is in the future of condo improvements...further down the list right now.)
So...I'm glad that closet looks much better and I know what's in it now!
Part of the declutter process is reorganizing things to make the best logistic sense for usage in the home. That's more what I've been doing this week. But...always tossing whatever I can too!!
All for now.......... ![]()

I have a new couch being delivered this afternoon. I ordered it on April 8th. I hope I still like it, LOL.
I sold our old couch months and months ago and replaced it with a loveseat. Big misstep there. Love the loveseat, but greatly missed having a couch. And so, I bought one, in April, thinking I would NOT be moving. And now, I'm moving and I think this new couch is going to crowd the space. I mean, they'll all fit in there, but the new couch is really long, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I'll make it all work and I'm excited to finally get the couch.
Let's see-threw away the broken wind chimes. Trash day is today. Also tossed a dying houseplant. That leaves me with 3. That's really 3 too many, but they're healthy so they can stay.
This morning I took a new with tags sweater to consignment along with an unopened shower gel. I finished up a bottle and didn't like it enough to open my backup bottle.
I have a bag started for Goodwill but have only 3 really small items in so it's going to be awhile before it's full.

@gidgetgh : Back in 2018 when I listed my house for sale DS convinced me to have the junk haulers take my sofa which I had planned to replace along with other items being purged. I was also sofa-less for about 5 months. While not the best for me, my dog really hated not being able to stretch out next to me, especially in the evenings.
I hope your new sofa exceeds your expectations. Enjoy!

Went through a small bin of random papers/clippings. Tossed about half in the recycle bin.
Looked through my casual dresses; most of which are for summer, and fall with an added jean jacket. Tossed one item in a Donate bag. Never worn. I have no idea what I was thinking when I bought it.

Ok, so remember my framed cross stitch projects a few months back that I didn't know what to do with? I ended up keeping a few, threw away the rest and, to be honest, haven't thought of them since.
So, I have another group of things I don't know what to do with.
When I was a child, in the 60's, I had 2 series of books that I adored (in addition to my beloved Nancy Drew Books).
One series I got through the Weekly Reader. The series was Ginnie and Geneva. They were paperbacks.
The 2nd series was Donna Parker. They were hardcover.
Now, I don't have MY books, but several years ago, I pieced together the 2 series from Ebay. Bought them all. I re-read all the Ginnie and Geneva books (and remembered the plots!).
So, I have all those books. Between the 2 series, it is 14 books. What to do with these? I loved them and when I see them in our small bookcase I smile, but I haven't re-read the Donna Parker books and don't know that I ever will. They don't take up much room at all, they are 14 children's books, but I am torn about them.
Sometimes, it's enough for me to take a picture. And the picture provides the memory. But I am a little stuck on these books. Is it a big deal to keep the books and move them with me when I move? No, but if I am never going to read them again....

About 30 picture frames finally made it to Savers today along with miscellaneous clothes and household items. Two pair of ankle - twisting high heels in time for fall dances. They would not take the Christmas tree in original box that I hoisted upstairs into the car. Called Goodwill and they will accept - tomorrow's plan.

Over the last week, I lit a fire under my husband and daughters to clear up some of their messes once and for all, NO procrastinating to another day.
My husband took care of his issues in the garage. My daughters took care of their issues, which were a weeks worth of deliveries they had not opened, and were stacked in a prominent place in the house.
On Monday night, our 11 year old male chinchilla died. Before he came, we already had 2 females and they all lived in a large divided "condo" in the living room, against the inside, draft-free wall. We lost our females a few years ago, and I have said repeatedly there would be no more chinchillas in this house once our Pretty Little Boy died. They were all sweet and special, but he needed to be our last one.
So last night teacher daughter emptied the condo of everything that was being trashed, and got it moved outside to be pressure washed and then sold. Today I found places to put some of the pet supplies to get the last of it out of the living room.
So for the first time in over 12 years, I have my living room wall back, and that makes me happy.
