 I would use it for an artificial flower arrangement and find a way to attach the lid on the side.  Of course, I wouldn't have a clue how to attach the lid Smiley Happy  I do like it, tho.  Maybe it would look nice just as it is but all cleaned up.

@lolakimono  Yes...fingers crossed!  That makes me lean towards something you wouldn't want to spill on your desk.  Especially since you will be using a lid.  Am I getting any warmer with that thought?

No liquids, for sure.  I find that brass is a bit smelly, like old pennies.  Definitely no food storage either.
