@mewsmomtoo  Sorry to hear that your mother is ill.  Best wishes for her recovery.  As for AG, I don't make many Christmas cards and don't have the Minc so I think that will help me limit my purchases somewhat this visit, right?  LOL!

Hi all, I  received my September 8 am items, but havent had the energy to get beyond opening the main box. Will post my reviews when i do. My poor mom has been back in the hospital all week so i dont get home unntil 10 or 11 pm & I hate to open things when I'm too tired to really enjoy opening the packages.

I read on her blog that October 7 is NOT  a 24 hour Craft Day, it's 18 hours. I think she is being givenbad info by HSN or not paying attention because i knoe the October was originally announced as a 24 Craft Day & I'm pretty sure SeSeptember 8 was as well. Sorry for the sloppy typing hard, it ishard to do this on my phone & ssometimes i am content to let it slide :-)

@Kati so good to have you back!  I am with you in terms of being low tech although i would like to have a Cricut. I just have no luck with sophisticated machinery so I have my Cuttlebug & now my Minc, though it makes me nervous. How long will that heating element last?

@Reba055 i think you will really enjoy your Cuttlebug. Be sure to check out YouTube for videos by Anna & other crafters on ways to use it.

@glor46er@Krimpette@Qgirl26 & @Marsha2003,Reba & Kati & others (sorry, cant check for other posters while typing),  30 items is A LOT of new stuff, hope she isnt spreading herself too thin. I understand about striking while the iron is hot, but wow! Of course, maybe items wont sell out so quickly if there is a lot of choice. Looking forward to other products too. I already enjoy adding my 3Birds Foil& Pearlescent embellies  to my Anna cards!

Sorry to hear your mom is in the hospital. I got my Cuttlebug yesterday but I've been a little under the weather and haven't gotten into it yet. I've already looked at some YouTube videos and on Pinterest.

I hope I get to it soon. I have company coming so I'm trying to get some things done. I'm mostly sitting on the couch watching college football and checking the forums, lol. Hopefully my back will be much better tomorrow, I'm behind with everything 😜

I'll let you know. Hope your mom feels better soon!!

@Reba055, Sitting down & watching college football is my idea of a perfect Saturday! Unfortunately, it sounds more like you have to do it than want to do it - a bad back is no joke! Hope you are feeling better very soon & get caught up with everything. Having company comingis a great mmotivator :-)

Thank you to you & @Marsha2003 for my mom's well wishes. Hopefully she will be back home by next Wednesday

Just was reading back over some of the comments from you fellow crafters that I had missed before.  I sure do wish (as someone else suggested) that QVC would have the sub-category for scrapbooking (or call it crafts) as they did before.  Though even if they did, under this new format, I'm not sure I'd be able to find it!  I'm still struggling and not enjoying this new forum format as much as I did the old one.

Sure am looking forward to 10/5 and 10/7!!!!!  I'm really addicted to coloring these days and can't wait to order AG's coloring books!!!!  (If I live to be 100, I'll never be able to use all the coloring books I've amassed thus far!!!!  But it's such an inexpensive hobby! Wonder how expensive AG's coloring book set will be.)

Hmmmm, so now Oct 7 is NOT a 24 hr craft day?  Gees, I wish they'd make up their minds!  I agree, Mews, that either Anna was given bad info when she announced it was a 24 hr craft day -or- HSN has changed their minds.  Doesn't much matter to me...18 hrs of crafts is long enough to do serious damage to my finally-paid-off credit card!  haha

When she says 30 'new' products, I get the impression she means "new on the air".  Like those Boiserie stickers that have been on HSN's website for awhile now but haven't been aired.  We'll see.  It sounds like she'll have a few 'new' Minc items, many of which have been on the website for awhile but will be shown on air for the first time.

I've been using the 12x12 glitter papers to make lots of die cuts so I'll have a bunch ready to go.  That paper cuts like buttah!  Definitely the best glitter paper I've used.  I also got the White Holiday cards to use with my minc'd embellishments....love them, too.  Finally, I got the holiday foil layers.  Well, they are prettier in person than on TV or the website.  Very rich, vibrant colors...the gold foil accents stand out beautifully.  Three very good purchases for me.

Lots of comments on her FB page hoping for free s/h on Oct 7.  Oh, how wonderful would that be?

Mewsmomtoo - sure hope your Mom can come home soon.  Wishing her the best and you, too!  She's lucky to have you.

I am looking forward to Oct. 5 and 7th, also.  I, too, wonder how much AG's coloring books will be.  With my cataracts, I can't get into coloring now.  I remember coloring the images that I stamped with my rubber stamps.  Esp. with the watercolor pencils.

Just looked at Anna's HSN page and saw that two of her new items are on it.  Coloring books and new tag set.

Hi @Kati & @glor46er Did you see that @Marsha2003 started a new crafting thread called "Calling All Crafters"? I think we are all moving the conversation to that thread now. My mom moved from the hospital to a rehab center to get some strength back & to finish up her course of IV antibiotics. I'm glad she's there, she would not recover as well at home because she wouldn't be able to stop herself from cleaning & taking care of the cats plus she has the stress of taking care of my father who has Alzheimer's. He will drive you bonkers because he will not admit that anything at all is wrong & he has pretty much reached the point where he wouldn't retain the info if you told him he was not well & he thinks we don't tell him things. He's always been a terrible patient & that has not changed!

@Krimpette I am with you regarding this forum. It is the pits!!!!!! I used to read a lot of the forums & it was easy to post & read but now it is so freakin' slow & difficult to read & navigate & post that I never even go to Community Chat or Pets or Wellness. It would literally take me hours to do what I used to do in 45-60 minutes. Super frustrating!!!!!

I finally unpacked my items from the September show & will post my thoughts on the other thread so we all stay together

See! I wasn't done posting but it bounced to the top of my post so I just had to hit "post" & finish with another post!!!!!!!

Anyway I hope you all find the new thread & start posting there. I would be so sad to lose crafting friends/posters. I love chatting with you & talking about crafting. Take care, see you on the "Calling All Crafters" thread, I hope!
