I do not like those huge, heavy looking beams overhead!  I do like being able to look up and see the wonderful sky!  I also generally like the rest of what I can see of the kitchen. I lke the color of the cabinets and the cozy feel of it.

Kind of cool for a vacation house.  I would like it better if the cabinets were not red.

Normally, I would love a kitchen (or room) like this, but it feels tiny, dark and closed in even with all those windows.  Those beams are massive and appear not to scale  compared to that tiny kitchen space.

Well it's a whole new take on skylights!  I think it's kind of cool, my only thing as others said would be keeping it clean.  I am one who just cannot tolerate dirty windows, ever.

Not a fan of that color on the cabinets and then my next thought was how to clean all those windows? But the natural light is prob fantastic. wonder if what snow would do to it? Very interesting at any rate

Re: Communing with Nature

I like everything in this kitchen except the wood beams. They look overwhelming to me. I would be concerned about the glass roof. It looks great now, but what about over time? What about removing all the plant, bug, and bird droppings it will collect? What about damage from snow or trees in a storm? I think a wall of windows would be better.

It's great!  It has the snug, cozy charm of a ship's galley--  all compact, well planned, and custom built.  I'd feel like I was at the prow of a ship, or the front of a submarine, pushing through that surrounding forest....

Love the room, beams, and windows. I would change the countertop and definitely the cabinet color.
