@goldensrbest Do you have a black glass cook top and use clean boss on it?

UPDATE ON NEW STOVE
We had the stove delivered yesterday...everything went well.
Installer we hired will be out today to bring it upstairs and hard wire it in. Few stoves are hard wired anymore....but because this is a DROP IN STOVE...( few made anymore) they hard wire instead of a plug like the stoves from 1980 mostly were.
I have a cover for the glass top, and have the cleaner and scraper too. as many of you suggested.
Will update again once I use the stove...Thanksgiving dinner will be the true try me phase! Hope I like the induction elements...have only used coil elements my entire life🙂

Did you get an induction cooktop or a ceramic cooktop?
A ceramic cooktop uses regular electric coils which heat up under the glass and therefore heats the pans and its contents. All cookware will work with this.
An induction cooktop uses magnets which interact with the pan and causes the pan to heat up. The glass itself does not heat up, but there is some residual heat from the pan that lingers on the glass. But not nearly as hot. Some cookware may not work with induction.
I have an induction cooktop and it cleans much easier than my ceramic cooktop did because spills/overboils don't "cook" onto the glass since the glass does not get as hot. I don't need to use any type of abrasives, just a microfiber cloth to wipe up. Induction heats up super fast too. There is some noise as the magnets interact with the pans which takes some getting used to.
All this to say that if you got induction, you probably won't need to use the above recommended cleaning kits, but if you got ceramic, you definitely will need to use it.

I had a glass top stove since I put one in my house in 1986---and I cleaned them with Bon Ami and a scrubbing pad or baking soda--worked great and never had the burned on ring that can happen around the burners, I will get another one if I ever get another house--

@PMG055 I still get confused....but DH says it is a ceramic cooktop, not induction....

Yes, the liquid is SO much easier to use. It's hard to find-got it at Target.

@BarbiHollywood I also use Weiman too. My husband cleans ours most of the time & never has to use the razor. I do have an outdoor grill that has a gas burner. Live in Fl. I still prefer gas stove tops & it took time to get use to glass. I never thought to use it on the oven windows.

@Kabella Yup! I use the cleaner on the oven glass all the time. Comes out great. Also live in Florida in Tampa area. Been here 25 years.

This is such a pet peeve for me... I have one and I have used all the products mentioned, plus others. But I still hate it becaue cleaning it is never easy, and always takes 2 steps or more.
So honestly, I rarely use the stove top burners, and when I do, I always use a tall pot. I mostly cook in my air-fryer, crock pot or oven, or hubby grills!
