If you want to get to the newest post in a thread quickly, click on the time of the lastest post, and it should take you right to it.

Pinky, This (above) has helped me so much to make the layout feel more familiar to me.  I've been solely relying on the ability to click on the time of the latest reply to sort everything out and take me straight to the last reply.  It's really the only thing that feels familiar at this point, because I would always click on Last Reply on the old forum.

Hi Gang! Just wanted to post these two tips I picked up this morning. To find the thread easier, there's a place on the left side of the page with topic options. If you scroll down, you'll see "float this thread to the top". It keeps the thread at the top of the page.

I just tried the "float this thread to the top" for the first time, and now this CIJ thread is duplicated on my screen within the home forum.  Is it supposed to be, or is this just a glitch that I alone am having?

Something is going on, as the "Top Tags" in the left margin of my macbook screen is messed up, and the "Hearts" section is gone in the margin as well.  Maybe it's a glitch or more upgrades.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Thanks, Peter. I just un-floated the topic and now I'm only seeing one copy of it. I think I'll just stick to what little I know for a while longer, until they get more things worked out on their side.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

SHOPR, I haven't been online all day, and just saw your post. I'm glad one of my tips worked anyway. In the beauty forum, I only saw one thread when I tried to float a thread in that forum. Here in the home forum, I saw the same double thread after I'd posted here about it, and just forgot about it.

Hope everyone's had a good day. I didn't feel great today, and the meds I had put me to sleep. I noticed no headache being off the forums, so I still have that bug to work out. pinky

I tried the first tip, and it works! I've not tried the second yet, but will later on. I keep gettin a headache if I'm on here to long now. I've adjusted the brightness of my screen, but have to try something else as it doesn't look right.

I tried to post a picture earlier, and could get it to post. I did an image from online on Monday that worked fine. This morning I tried one of my own photos with no luck. Any tips? I tried what mousiegirl had posted if that helps... pinky

I tried yesterday also, pinky, and I am unable to get access to "My Photos" from my Dell computer to here, something about a box in the toolbar which does not show up for me.  I wish the powers that be would attend to this issue, because I really want to post some of my own pictures, aside from those that I copy and past from other sites.

At the top in the post box is a little pic that looks like mountains with a sun or moon but the pic is gray and white.  It's the 9th one from left in the row.  Click on that and it gives you options to browse etc.  It worked for me.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

HILucy, I have a Dell mini Inspiron, I wonder if it isn't an issue with the brand and how the site is set up... I know a few posters with other brands have had other problems, so it seems there's a learning curve for sure. I'd love to be able to post my own photos, as there are plenty of nice ones posted by others that i don't need to add to. Hope you're having a good day. I'm going to check out the mountain icon, and see if there's an answer there. Thank you for the tip! pinky

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Oh, Happy Day!!!!!! I got the photo to post! I tried Explorer instead of Chrome, and made sure the photo was highlighted, but not an open file, if that makes sense.
