The tree is decorated nicely in green, if green is your thing for a tree.  I am not a fan of the assortment of everything else.

It is the color of the walls I don't like.

I had to laugh when I read some postings.  Who would change the color of a chair or a rug at Christmas time so their tree and ornaments match?

Not anyone that I know.

Traditional green and red clashes terribly in my living room.  Every room actually.  Therefore, I don't use those colors.  My (artificial) tree is a rather light green (think pine needles) lightly flocked and is decorated in everything but red and dark green.

The outside of my house is done solely in red and green lights and I have dark red velvet bows affixed to the garland on my banister.  So I get my fix there...lol

I kept that in mind when I picked the colors for the siding and even where shrubbery would be placed for landscaping when it came to decorating with Christmas lights.

@Carmie

I understand what you’re saying about the rug. We can’t see the rest of the room so it’s difficult to see how well the rug works. Maybe furniture has been removed that would normally be there? I’m not suggesting the rug be changed out for the holidays. Even if it there weren't Christmas decorations up, I just don’t think the blue rug goes with the green chair. JMO.

@wilma   I don't think the blue rug is the perfect color either, (doesn't go with the green chair ) but really, who would change the rug or furniture out at a Christmas time because the decorations they were planning in using did not quite match?

I just found some of comments comical.

Just beautiful! I love red but would not consider it in this space. I love, love the chair.

@wilma  I don't mind it.  The tree is beautiful. I think I would change the green chair to a gold chair and go from there. Maybe some sort of pillow or throw on the chair.

@wilma

The tree would be nicer with bits of red on it as well.

The rest of the room I don't care for.

I like it especially the gold wreaths. They are so different. If I needed red I would tuck a cardinal in the tree or mantle.

Now that is strange.  I don't like the tree the way it is decorated and the rug is blue and white.  OMG!
