Has anyone prices these things lately?  Good grief they must be made with gold!  I dont want one of the big fancy ones either.  Just a small plain white one with a light for a small bedroom.

Re: Ceiling fans with lights

@Imaoldhippie . No, I haven't priced any lately, but it does not surprise me that they have gotten pricey.  It appears everything else is headed in that direction.  I hope you find what you are looking for.  I guess we are lucky that we already have them in all the rooms.  A necessity here in AZ.

Re: Ceiling fans with lights

I did a quick look at Home Depot and a Hunter ceiling fan, 44", with light and remote was $150.  Not too bad, IMO.

@Pezzie ..........You should see the new ones, I had no idea they had become so updated.  IMO the paddle fans as we know them are being phased out.

They are priced about the same at Amazon, Lowes and Walmart.  Those are the places I have looked so far.

Re: Ceiling fans with lights

We bought ceiling fans years ago.  We did some research and found out that the blades of the more expensive ones cut the air at a better angle so they cool more efficiently. Also there is a formula that you can Google that shows the proper size for a.room.

Re: Ceiling fans with lights

I used to have four of them in my home.  I replaced them with ceiling lights.

I didn't like them at all....dust collectors.

@kaydee50 That sounds like the one I have in my bedroom.I know it is a Hunter brand with 4 lights.I always get confused,as of which way the blades should go when running.
