There's a site called "Go Condo". I always like to see homes created out of relatively small spaces.
Please note. These rooms do have the feeling of being "propped", like 'furniture store' rooms. I can just imagine the "Go Condo" people sneaking into empty apartment buildings, that haven't been rented or sold yet, and furiously staging rooms!
But no matter-- even staged rooms have good ideas.
1
Go Condo tends to show rooms that are under-furnished, rather than over furnished, which might appeal more to minimalists...
2
3
I'm not necessarily fond of "shelter" headboards, but this one below is not overly tall, like some of them. And the wings do give a sense of enclosure, maybe more coziness, in a potentially boxy apartment bedroom...
4
I like that they show how small quarters can still each have its own neat, self-contained zone-- cooking, dining and living--
5
6
If there's no space for a dining room, a counter bar is fine for dining, and then you don't have far to walk to have your after-dinner coffee in the living room, below...
7
Having different layers of lighting helps differentiate the spaces. Love the sconces here on a short wall in the living room...
8
Another clever idea-- it looks like there's almost no balcony, or just a 'Juliet' balcony here below. But snuggling this settee right up to the window, creating a nook with its own coffee table, art, lighting and flowers, helps "merge" you with the outdoors...
9
Speaking of flowers, Go Condo's emphasis on growing things, plants and flowers, and flowering plants, really keeps you connected to the outside, even in a multi-unit building in the sky--
10
And combining plants and mirrors that bounce around the light and the views, that also helps bring the outside in. A more maximalist, but still fresh and organic approach.
11
Sometimes, just one vase of green things is lovely.
12
But it's also dramatic when a plant is part of a well-thought out vignette like this....
13
Fresh flowers can also mirror and bring out the beauty of an artful flower on the wall...
14
But even just branches and green help enliven a rectilinear space...
15
Or a sturdy tree mixes with flowers, art and bold pillows for interest...
16
Not all the condos they show are strictly clean-lined or modern-- the ones that lean traditional bring softness to box-like rooms--
17
18
Some of these have a retro chic feeling, with vintage framed prints and weathered table and chairs. Interesting contrast with the highrises beyond the window...
19
20
21
This could almost be a mini-French salon in a chateau, one that has a modern kitchen right around the corner, ha.
22
23
And traditional doesn't have to mean crowded-- it can be sweet, simple and restful.

That was fun; felt like I was snooping on the neighbors.

Wow, gorgeous. Love the colors and lay outs. When can I move in. ? lol! I wish I knew how to copy all those photos to send to my grand daughter. They just move into a nice apt 1700 sq ft two bedroom. But so much open space , you need to make it cozy.

I love the minimalist look -- the cluttered, cozy look, not so much.

There is much to like here. ![]()

Very pretty!
I also love to see what people create in small spaces. I love to look at little homes and even RV/travel trailer redo's.
I've thought about buying and flipping travel trailers. I think that would be so fun...
My favorites:
Peaceful color pallet, simple, beautiful pinks and rustic wood furniture.
Beautiful floral arrangement.
Uncluttered, big bold natural arrangement and the rustic ornate mirror and rustic wood table are perfect. I love just a few bold pieces.....
You nailed the description.....I love a French Chateau...

Much prefer these decors than others that have been posted. I don't like "clutter" and the lack of any sort of curtains or drapes is a big plus for me. Even like the furnishings.
Good one @Oznell !!!

#1. I love it. Airy, light and colorful without too much color.
#2. I am not a big fan of this look. Too austere without meaning to be. It needs people.
#3. This one has a lean toward British Colonial and yet it is not. It's better than #2.
#4. I can't decide if I like it or not. I think it's too blue. The headboard is not my choice but it's okay but there was a saturation of blue. It could have been layered with another
#5. I really like the dining area and its position near the public area. Reminds me of an apartment in my early marriage.
#6. This is also a neat little breakfast/sitting area. Are #2, #5 and #6 the same furnished in different ways, or are they different.
#7. I don't like it. I don't know why. Maybe the artwork spoils the whole thing for me.
#8. I like #8. I think the blue is more gray-browned-down and the yellow is a good complijment.
#9. I adore that. My #2 child and his wife had a little place similar to that in graduate school.
#10. The plants bring it to live and give it a whole new life.
#11. My favorite.
#12. If you don't have picture frame identically matching the furniture nearby, go totally opposite, don't try to match when it doesn't work.
#13. I love the pots, makes it warm and inviting.
#14. No.
#15. It has been giving a lived-in personality.
#16. I really like this.
#17. Maybe my second favorite, even with the white sofa.
#18. The TJ Maxx artwork ruins the whole thing.
#19. Very, very pretty and so homebound looking.
#20. Love the chair. Oznell, you knew I was going to love that Louis XV chair.
#21. This is very pretty. I could move into that as a single girl.
#22. I really like the furniture. However, the artwork doesn't work.
#23. I like this much better with accents of blue rather than saturated blues.
#24. That is so sweet and the perfect daybed for a bachelor girl.
Thank you, Oznell, for all the hard work and time you use searching for things to post here. I know it is not easy to find so great things to post and something for everybody. What one doesn't like, another will. You have a good eye for that.
