I go either way although I tend to launder and put the same Threshold Luxury (I think) that I bought almost a year or so ago. They're lovely, white with an embroidered edge. I LOVE these and what a buy back then. They don't carry this 'luxurgy' in my target anymore. SO bummed. And unfortuately the bottom sheet is beginning to have wear & tear. Last weekend DH & I checked out linens same place and found Fieldcrest Luxury 600T 100% egyptian cotton. Very nice, beefy but soft, laundered nicely. Will change to these soon.
That store has many nice linens, thread counts, types, colors, price points. I buy many there because I actually could put on a new fresh set and give my lovely white ones a break!

@I am still oxox They do sell many sets though which I like because sometimes when I find linens that I like, the pillow cases are got. Not good. Folks like to buy extra cases which makes it tough if they're all gone.
So I appreciate they sell sets.

We have three queen size beds in our home (that are slept on). I probably have 7 or 8 sets of sheets that I rotate, randomly, between the beds. I am always tempted to buy more, like yesterday's TSV, but have to refrain. I am so trying not to buy anything that we don't absolutely need. Plus I hope to someday have a king size bed, and I will have to buy new sheets for that.

We do both--we have a couple of sets and a VERY deep mattress so it is hard to find good sheets for it. I will spend a lot of money on sheets! I love the feel of good sheets and they last longer too.
Sometimes Tuesday morning has some wonderful ones made in Portugal. They are great! I always feel of them before I buy them. Frette sheets are wonderful as well. Sometimes you can find them on sale online.

I change two beds weekly. We rotate six sets of flannel bedding through late Fall, Winter and early Spring with down comforters on each bed. We will switch to (six sets of) percale sheets and lighter blankets once night temperatures become steadily warmer.

Wash one set and put a different set on - always like to have 2 sets!

Rotate, rotate, rotate. I just cant see washing and putting them right back on bed, unless it was my only set.

I usually wash and put back on the bed, until I get tired of that color, then I switch to another set.

I probably have atleast ten sets of sheets, all northern nights. All were either a TSV or OTO. They wear like iron. I wash and put the same sheets back on. When I get tired of the color, I switch them out. It's really rare I'd take a set out of the closet because they are wrinkled. I am horrible at folding sheets. I don't like wrinkled sheets on the bed. When I switch colors, I wash the set coming from the closet.
