It's a pretty window. I would't opt to fill the space with a built in desk. I'd have preferred a more attractive, free-standing one.

@stevieb   I agree!  I would rather have my desk somewhere else and a couple of great chairs to sit there and read or a pretty window seat built in.

Or a piano if it were big enough!

What a nice working space - perfect with the windows to distract you from your work  Smiley Wink

Love the white cabinets but would prefer a lighter wood shade for the desk top.  Lamps with the seashells are very pretty.

I really like the setting of this desk. However, I used to have my home desk at a window and found myself watching nature rather than getting my work done more quickly and moved my desk to another room. I purposely keep my laptop plugged in and on a table where I have few distractions, rather than making it more mobile.

@lolakimono  I like bay windows and I like the look of this, but I wonder if/whenI would get tired of it.  Not easily changed.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

I have A bay window and I think this is a good use of space. I see this as a space to use at leisure to work a puzzle,or do crossword or maybe a small craft project .

Good place to just have breakfast while you pay the bills or sort thru junk mail and enjoy the view.
