I really like your take on it, @author ,  you put it so well, and it sums up what I feel too.

 

You mention the fringe on the chairs, @spiderw --  I forgot to say, I really like that traditional little "fillip" too, in that particular space.

 

The house might have a little bit more in it than is my comfort level, but, that's overridden by the "happy" feeling it has.   I love rooms that feel "sprightly" in some way.
