Would you mind sharing which tree you got?  We’re going to Lowe’s tomorrow, and I always get overwhelmed with too many choices.  Hope you get much enjoyment from your tree!

After many years of having fresh Christmas trees, we bought a fake one.  DH had a heck of a time getting the real tree out of the house last year, it was a real struggle.  I decided then we'd look for the faux variety this year.

 Last evening we went to Lowes and were lost in the profusion of trees.  Fortunately, DH helped a woman getting a boxed up tree into her cart.  I asked her about the tree she chose and she was very helpful.  She had the same tree before and loved it.  BTW, she has 4 or 5 trees in her home!  It must be an enormous house! 

So, this year we will decorate a hunk of Chinese plastic.  Yes, it really bothers me.  Maybe I'll pick up a small, very small, natural tree too.  🌲🌲

@this is my nic  I have done the same, because without DD here when we get a tree, it is too much for DH to bring up fourteen stairs, and because the cost is so high now, almost $300 for a fresh 8 foot tree, THAT bothered me, but now that the tree is up, it looks like a real tree only it is not quite as full.  

I bought these at amazon and they smell authentic.

It may only affect some, but we're healthier at holidays without a real tree. The sap can get to you if one has allergies.

We live in NC where there are many family owned tree farms.  They constantly replant or they'd have no trees.  Since so many families depend on selling the beautiful natural trees for income, I was really sad that we decided to go faux, but age makes us change the things we've always done.  We have lots of memories of going to the farms and cutting our own trees.  Unfortunately, no one ever thought to take photos!     Before I was married, my Dad and I went to the local tree sellers.  It was our Christmas tradition.   So, something seemingly insignificant really isn't.  So many sweet memories! 

Whatever your tree is, enjoy it!  🌲🌲🌲

@this is my nic Same here! Only in PA. I wish we had taken pictures as well. I know that tree sellers replant, otherwise they would be out of business in short order. While the trees are growing they are cleaning the air of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. I love seeing trees and tree farms along the highway. They are like nature's air fresheners.

       Years ago, I had just had a C section at the end of November 1984.  Still hurting and too tired to do much holiday decorating, we bought one of those little - one foot tall - trees in a bucket at a big box store. An evergreen tree, but not really a Christmas tree!!  We decorated it and it served us for that holiday season. 

       That tree was planted beginning 1985 and it is now taller than my house... lovely branches and pine cones.  Every time I see that tree, I recall  such sweet moments with that new baby that holiday season.
