I agree with you 100%. I live in the South, and the temperature here is bitterly HOT. CIJ is the one bright spot during the hot summer months. I LOVE CIJ - and posting on these forum boards with all the wonderful ladies (and men). We have such a good time, exchanging ideas and encouraging each other.........as well as making life MERRY & BRIGHT.....( Ho, ho, ho)......

@Spurt Do you feel that someone entering your home would ask, "oh, does Jim Shore live here?" I do, lol.

I’m definitely counting down the days until CIJ! And also to be on these forums chatting with you ladies!
@Carol08we have had a slight break in the heat and humidity this week but they are saying it’s coming back here in the next day or so and we probably won’t get much of a break now until October! My husband said “I suppose Sandra is about to go into her summer hibernation until October now”it’s the only way I can survive! Lol
@Smc09 - I agree with you, 100%! It's nice that CIJ can give us a respite from the hot amd humid weather. Let us know when you come out of your summer hibernation. LOL

Alabama weather is back and forth so much, if we get a break one week I’ll come out! Luckily i work from home so it works well for me to hibernate during the summer months as much as possible! Lol
Plus it works out well for me to catch all of the CIJ shows also
@Smc09 - We are neighbors, because I live in Georgia. If you get a break one week, then so will I. We will come out of hibernation together. LOL I just hope we don't get any hurricanes this summer.

I have my Jim Shore pieces scattered around, I do put some away and rotate them, but others permanently remain out---like my Jim Shore Figaros (one big, one tiny) since one of my cats was named after that Disney Cat, and also some of my favorite angels. I just put out some of the patirotic pieces-since the 4th of July is coming up in a few weeks. So I have--my new Patriotic Angel (shes just beautiful) and a Patriotic cat and the 4th of July basket displayed in different places.
A friend whose more of an acquaintance dropped by, it was the first time she's been to my home---And her expression was a bit wide-eyed as she took my home decor in....Its not overly cluttered or crowded, it's tastefully done, as is yours, but she has more of a modern/traditional style furniture and no decor pieces AT ALL, so I bet she was in a bit of a shock and shaking her head when she left....
...And she is probably telling others, "her house is like a Jim Shore Store and and with the other stuff it looks like a gift shop"![]()
But ya know what @mousiegirl it's my home and I surround myself with things I enjoy and make me happy--And I know you do too.......-![]()

We have similar seasons here in Texas from May until October no relief from the heat unless we get an occasional thunderstorm....
I hibernate too and Im a bit worried that my neighbors think Im a vampire since I only come outside in the summer in the early early morning hours (to exercise--go for a walk and water my patio plants) and then in the evening at dusk...![]()

@Carol08 Hello neighbor!!
Hopefully we will get some decent weather breaks this summer.... I’m trying to be optimistic! Lol

@Spurt Are we long lost sisters?
You sound exactly like me! I walk my dog every morning around 6:00 a.m. before the heat sets in, then I’m indoors all day and come back out around sundown to relax outside with the hubby and dog!
I make the same joke with my husband that our neighbors probably think I’m a vampire!
It’s the only way I can survive the Alabama summer heat and humidity!
