That so reminds me of my mom---my dad would flock the living daylights out of a tree and she would decorate it in blue and green-

@Enufstuff  Absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree, Enuffstuff! 🤗💗🎄  I love how the bright white lights add dimension to the tree and cast the prettiest shadows along the branches.  The aqua garland is perfectly layered on top of the different tiers of branches.  Beautiful glossy and shiny classic aqua ornaments. I like that they're varying shades of aqua and different sizes- they dance along the tree.  It looks like the lovely paint color of your wall even goes with the aqua tree too! I loved your beautiful pink themed tree and I love your beautiful aqua tree.  Excellent work, Enuffstuff! Happy holidays to you and your family 🎄🤗💗✨

I have a southwest decor in my home.  Aqua/Turquoise is very prevalent here.

Thanks for sharing.

@Enufstuff   So pretty!  I love the aqua.  Thank you for sharing.  I would love to see your reupholstered chair.  Post if you can!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday.  When we were young, my families neighbor gave us each a few vintage ornaments from her German mother.  I'm 64 now and still have them.  One is a pink pinecone.  Lovely!

@SportyShorty07    Thank you so much, dear girl.

You are so observant of all the details of the aqua ornaments.

Do you have a Christmas tree at your house? Is it a live tree or an artificial one?  With your artistic eye, you must create a beautiful tree.

For several years, I have had the 5' white tree and only used pink, gold and aqua vintage ornaments.

We always had  large fresh trees until I bought a 7'

pre-lit artificial green tree. Then I got tired of that and wanted to go retro, reminiscent of the white trees that our beautiful

department stores used to decorate for Christmas, back in the 60's. The stores were beautiful back then, with all their display

windows and each department decorated.

All my traditional glass ornaments from the 60's and

70's have been packed away for several years now. Many are

handpainted mercury glass from Poland and blown glass figures from Italy. My mother bought many of those for me before she passed away in 1990. There are also some Hallmark

ornaments and things that my children made.

I think that next year, I will take out those colorful

ornaments and use them on the white tree, for a change.

Are you baking or making special treats for Christmas? This is the first year since 1963, that I am not doing a lot of baking. I am only baking brownies and have six

kinds of Pepperidge Farm cookies for anyone who visits.

My family of five children has grown to 32 people, so they have dinner with their families and then come here to visit.

There are now nine great grandchildren. The rest are all adults

and many of them don't eat the sweets that they ate when they were younger. My husband is diabetic now, so I don't make the desserts that I used to make. I don't need the calories from all that sugar.

I would love to hear about any special things that you are doing or creating for Christmas.

Have a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Re: Aqua for Christmas

[ Edited ]

@Enufstuff  Thank you for your lovely message and kind words, Donna 🤗💗! Your white tree is gorgeous and I love the ornaments that you've collected over the years.  You created a bright winter wonderland in your home with the aqua and the classic white tree. I bet your 7' green tree is pretty too.  The classic mercury ornaments and hand blown ornaments from Poland are very special heirlooms from your dear Mom- I'm sure they are very beautiful. Its a wonderful idea to use all of the lovely ornaments from your collection on the tree next year.

We're taking it easy for Christmas this year.  We haven't had a Christmas tree in a few years, but I decorate the mantle each year with little Christmas ornaments that I line up on top of the mantle.  I made a lemon blueberry bundt cake for us to enjoy on Christmas. I'm going to make green beans, potato salad and roast chicken thighs for Christmas for everybody. I like to bake Christmas cookies for everybody: gingersnaps, oatmeal raisin or vanilla spritz. Pepperidge Farms cookies are delicious! Your family and extended family will enjoy them.

I'll tell you a fun Christmas memory: I wanted a big tree when I was in my early 20s, but they were very expensive.  The grocery store that was a 15 minute walk away had a couple of free big Christmas trees in the parking lot to give away on the day before Christmas.  I walked there and carried a 6 foot tall tree on my shoulder like Paul  Bunyan would've done. I carried that tree on my 4'11" sporty frame uphill on my own for all of those blocks.  I made it home and fell to the floor from exhaustion 😅.  The tree was so beautiful.  We decorated it with lights and ornaments. My family was thrilled that I used my muscle and willpower to get us a big tree that year.  It is one of my favorite holiday memories.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, Donna! You are a dear heart and a treasure! 💗🎄✨
