Now this is one look I really like.  Not tunic but a simple, clean lines cotton & whatever little dress that falls above the knee.  Actually, Lisa Rinna was selling a dress like top yesterday with it being longer in the back and it looked good but for me it is a trend with the longer back and I would not wear.  I would like it all one length. Does anyone else like the dress over the leggings look?     Happy weekend -- Spring is just around the corner.

My amazing 6' tall DIL dresses this way often. Then again she's beautiful in anything she wears........😎

Should add, BOTH of my beautiful DILs look great and wear this look often.

I like it and I'm pretty conventional. It covers the tush, and it's a great way to be able to wear a shorter dress without having to show off your legs (and in my case, the world would thank me). It's been around for a while, but to me it still looks stylish.

When my daughter was little, I used to buy her dresses and leggings from Hanna Anderson.  That was a signature look for that company. 

When I see an adult dressed like that, it looks childish to me.  Just my opinion.

I am 60 years old and just this week bought a print dress and solid leggings and a solid dress with printed leggings.  I asked my daughter-in-law just today will I look stupid wearing these at my age?  She said no, that I would look very stylish. I too thought I could pull the look off easier with the dress/leggings than a top/leggings.

I've seen that look but I only like it when the dress is very short.  I don't like the look of a knee length dress with leggings.

I think it looks best when it's a sweater style dress, like this.

Other looks are a bit Peter Pan or playing dress up, IMO.
