I do refresh my wardrobe. My white tee shirts and 3 quarter length shirts get yellow stains under in the armpits every year so I buy a few white tees in tanks, short-sleeved, long ect. to replace the ones that are too dingy to where.
I also make sure all of my clothing still fits. I never go out of three pounds so that is not too much of an issue, but if I am tired of something and it is in perfect condition I pass it on to our church who give the clothing to the homeless and the mentally ill who go to the hospital in distress and sometimes do not have clothing to wear when they leave the hospital. Any of my clothes that are in poor condition I used as rags or my husband uses in his shop.
I wear 90% classic clothes and I add 10% of an updated look such as a tee shirts. I also buy quality LLBean, JJill, Talbots, and I still like Denim & Co. for some items too. Chicos has the sexiest and most up to date pants that fit me really well. I don't know why because most of their polyester tops are terrible quality, but for me, there it is. As for the way I spend my money, I have no debt and pay of my visa every two weeks. I would never go into debt to purchase fashion of any kind.
Oh, I also have my own walk in closet, but it is not as large as the ones I have heard described by some here. I keep clothes that are in the season in my closet and the rest I store in a dresser in my guest room. It helps me to only see the season of clothes that I am in or I feel overwhelmed.
I also wear only my colors. I am a soft summer (neutral cool) and I only wear these colors so everything I own mixes and matches very well and I look good in these colors. Anyway those are my musings for today.
