I think Kate looks lovely and quite queenly in that dress, even though it seems to be a departure from what she usually wears.  I found it to be much more mature than normal for her, but it looks good, as well as that beautiful jewelry.  She wears it all very well.

I love how the original looks also but maybe she wanted a more mature look. The first does look younger.

Thank you for this interesting information. I wonder if gold and white is just a popular combination,

or if Kate has observed some of Diana's dresses. Who knows, but they both wear and wore everything so well!

I am happy to see that Kate is brave enough to look like a smart, mature, grown-up, WOMAN and not some hottie Hollywood type that is all about showing off her body,

I think she understands her role, and what is important.  I think her personality, warmth and brains are what she would like to feature, and I applaud her for that.

She does more for women than anyone else we see much these days.
