You look very nice in your outfits!
No, I don't wear sweaters on my shoulders or tied around my waist as "bunwarmers".
I rarely see people wearing sweaters around their shoulders in real life, even though it seems popular on models. Personally, it would bother me to have that hanging on my upper body. I'm sure it wouldn't stay in place either which would drive me crazy.
I rarely did it, but yes, I have definitely seen sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc. tied around the waist. It was a popular look when we were in high school and college. It was more to be hands free than keep warm.
We've had a few scorchers in Kentucky this summer. We had mid to upper 90s a few weeks ago, and we're getting that again now. With humidity it feels like it's over 100. I know it's not as bad as some other places.
I don't plan outdoor activities on days like this. I stay inside my air conditioned house. If I have to go out, I try to do that in the morning when it's not as bad. I might wear long pants and take a lightweight jacket or cardigan if I'm going somewhere air conditioned. I also wear shorts, tees, knee length skirts and dresses, and jeans in the summer. It just depends on where I'm going.
I Hope Everyone has a Good Week!

I think it is unanimous everyone wants your black gauze dress. Actually I have in the past tied a hoodie around my waist if it became too warm in the room, found it easier than carrying it.

LOVE love love the dress in #2. The way you did the necklaces is wonderful too. Could be talked into the flip flops and purse too.

You look lovely in everything but I am with the majority in that you absolutely rock in the #2 black gauze dress. I would wear it every day.
I don't have a summer uniform but I have several "Attitudes" long maxi dresses I got for a steal and have been wearing them quite a bit.

Am I imagining.......were bum-warmers popular at one time?
I'm visualizing wearing them over tights, maybe after a gym workout.
I can see a reason to wear them.
I'm one who doesn't like peeps looking at my butt-om.
So, I just might wear a cover-up like this one.
Usually folks just wrap a sweater around their 'buttoms'. I've done this before, when the weather turned warmer than expected and while on a walk. I removed my pullover or cardigan and wrapped it around my 'buttom'.
Btw, 'buttom' is a word that I invented several days ago in another previous thread.

@MacDuFF I really like all of your outfits, but the black gauze dress, I like the best.
To me dresses are the most comfortable things to wear on hot summer days. I have a collection of Stan Herman casual dresses
and caftans that I wear at home.
I also have seven casual gauze dresses to wear if I go out.
I love color in the summer and I never wear black near my face.
It makes me look like Morticia.
With your coloring, black looks lovely..
On cooler days, I will wear crop or ankle pants and a nice top.
Never have I ever worn a sweater tied over my shoulders
or around my waist. I will wear a jacket or cardigan, if needed.
I have worn kimono style toppers, for a BoHo look.
