Re: The High/Low hem look in fashion

I never liked the hi-lo look on anything.  Boot cut jeans are here to stay, yay!

The dress on the bottom is going out of fashion. That hi-lo dress style is on many "out" lists already.

I think this look is here to stay.  Like the boot cut Jean, it may not be the hot fashion of the season, but, The boot cut Jean always look good....I also think the high/low "look" on tops will stay a popular look for a long time to come.

@SeaMaiden

These have been around since designers reintroduced them in 2012.  I don't think they are going anywhere for a while.

Re: The High/Low hem look in fashion

I have a few hi / low dresses and if they do go "out" I can always even up the hem. That was my thinking when I purchased them.

I love me shrugs and will continue to wear them; just wish I could find one in brown.

Me too @Lipstickdiva.  February of 1994.  The girls all had a basic long sleeve black velour shift dress with a hi-low navy over skirt.

I prefer a maxi dress over a hi-low dress. If I don't have time to shave my legs, I can throw on a maxi dress but I can't do the same with a hi-low dress. I do like hi-low tops though.

I wore a teal colored hi-low hem bridesmaid dress in a 1989 wedding.

However the high-low hem looks, the13" heeled shoe, bow legged, butt displaced look will never appeal to me with ANY LOOK.

Re: The High/Low hem look in fashion

Recently I've noticed in the deep clearance racks a lot of tops, skirts and dresses with the angled hems.  ( SteinMart,  BonTon, Macy...)

Even at the deeply discounted prices, those items aren't for me.  Evidently, they're not for a lot of folks and will probably be eased out.

Evening wear is different and unusual features are the trend  and someone will always feature those hemlines.
