@tsavorite It sounds like you need a flat, black plain shoe but comfortable. Clarks has some on sale or just check to see what QVC has. Good luck.

Tsavorite, are those Vionic sandals thongs? If not, then wear black hosiery underneath them, either tights or knee-highs, and wear those sandals. Otherwise, wear warm boots to the party and carry the sandals with you, and put them once you are inside the casino.
I've had plantar faciitis twice, and there are very few brands of shoes I can wear since those episodes, Vionics are one, Earth Origins is another. If you have enough time for the Q to get you a pair, you might look at their Earth selection to see if something catches your eye.

Have you tried the Good Feet Store? They may have what you need. I have seen Rothys advertised on TV. I don't know about the comfort but they are very cute flat shoes.

@ECBG wrote:@Shanus I don't know. My issue has been the metatarsal as I've aged.
I've trouble shot that alone (lace up shoes when I was in my 30's DIDN'T happen when I went to the podiatrist!). I've gone my way with heeled sandals as a teacher, and coming from the town's largest shoe store, LOVED shoes!
@ECBG @Shanus
I have always heard that it is proper to wear heeled sandals to anything resembling a cocktail or evening event.

@tsavorite As an aside, when I suffered w/ PF in both feet about 15 years ago, doc said from running on hard surface, after having cortisone shots, etc. I tried accupuncture. Perfect feet in 4 months of twice weekly sessions. Maybe you could give it a try.

@Shanusthanks for the suggestion....I will look into that.
Update!
It seems to me that the problem is the pants (pencil/cig style) which requires a dressy strap type shoe. Everything else just looks bad with it. I even tried my Marc Fisher suede tall black boots with them and while it's a super cute look it is not dressy enough over all.
SO....I took out my only other pair of black pants that have a boot cut bottom instead. This way the leg of the pants will hide whatever boot/shoe I end up wearing! This has solved my problem.
If I had time to run all over the place looking for something to wear for this party in a few days I might find something but truly I am just to tried (recovering from another EBV reactivation) to do it.
I kept thinking (jealous I admit) that my spouse has no issues...he wears black pants and a covered flat mens shoe so why can't I do the same!!
I have a pair of clarks black ankle boots that are flat....the leather is not dressy...they are kinda pebbled dull looking BUT they are wide in toebox and super comfortable! My pants length fits perfectly so don't need to alter them at all.
Sure they aren't dressy but only the front toebox area peaks thur....the rest of my outfit makes up for it IMO....and best of all I didn't have to run around upset ordering or looking for shoes/boots...it is such a nightmare for me!
Oh and I shopped my own closet....that also makes me so happy too!
Thank you all who responded in this thread....I was really having a "brain f@rt" moment on what I was going to do. Plantar fasciitis pretty much rules my life these days and I knew I couldn't stand and walk around in tight pinching shoes and I didn't want to suffer the after math of it.
Even the sparkly sandals I was considering wouldn't be comfortable after a short while so changing the pants was the best idea for me. Problem solved!

@tsavorite Happy you liked my suggestion of going w/ Clark's...have never let my down and a wider pant leg to cover most of the shoe/boot. You'll look stunning and be comfortable. Enjoy your party!!

@Nonametoday Yes, strictly from the stand point of style. That doesn't take into account physical issues.
